It is recommended to put away the awning in heavy rain and windy weather. It is unable to handle heavy rain or wind.

In illustration the hand crank appears to be on left side, does it matter if it is on the right side?

the awning I purchased 78 in. I installed the crank on the right side I don't think it matters witch side you place the crank on the instructions don't state witch side to use. Hope this helps
