Great Game
Fun escape room game! We think we were missing a card but we were able to move on without it. The evolving game board was a nice twist. We're no strangers to escape rooms/puzzle games and this one was simple enough to play (without lengthy readings), and challenging enough to still be fun. Everyone loved it from kids to adults.

A Fun Family Game Night!
I am a big CLUE fan as well as an escape room game fan. So this was a must have. I played by myself. The game contents are very well done. Everything looks great. The game is an escape room with a Clue theme. The box gives a difficulty rating of 2 out of 5 and I agree with this assessment. This is definitely easier to solve then the Exit or Escape the Room games and itโs definitely made for families. I did this solo and enjoyed it but it wouldnโt be good for a group of adults. Unless you just really like the theme as I do. Just like the board game you have to figure out who killed Mr. Boddy? Where? And with What? The game is played with various tiles that will be placed to create the game board and a deck of numbered cards is used as the games AI if you will. Thereโs a tutorial first deck to show you how the game works. And the instruction booklet offers hints and solutions if you really need them. All the answers to the various puzzles are numbers and technically you can cheat by simply guessing the various number combination based on the cards you currently have. It doesnโt always work but adults may figure this out quickly. As you explore the mansion more rooms are revealed and various cards give clues puzzles and items. Some even overlay on the tiles to form different pictures. For example when you open a cabinet one card overlays to show you the cabinet open and whatโs inside. Itโs very cool how the game looks and actually feels like your exploring the mansion. Production value and theming were great. After you solve all the puzzles you then take all the clues youโve gathered in the game and use those to solve the mystery. You could be right or wrong. I did guess correctly so the clues do lead you to the answer. I even messed up one puzzle so didnโt get one of the clues but the remaining clues were enough to still solve it. If you donโt get a lot of the clues though it may be harder to solve the ending. This is a one time game so once the family plays itโs done. However unlike other games you donโt cut or rip anything so if you actually keep track of the various decks of cards you could possibly reset the game to give to someone else but Iโd advise writing down the card numbers of the various decks so you know how to separate it. Iโm tossing the game afterwards but I think you could reset it. It was a fun two hours I spent and if you play with the family thereโs little acting stunts to perform (like when a card says you reach out and get a shock youโre supposed to shake your hand and act like you were shocked until your next turn comes around). Cute. And thereโs some timed puzzles so keep your phone handy to use as a timer. But unlike other escape room games except for certain puzzles thereโs no overall time limit. I enjoyed this game and Iโd love if they made more but just be aware itโs on the easy side and is a one time game.

Keep 'em coming, Hasbro!!
All of us of various ages LOVE the Clue Escape Games. We love the mechanics of building the board as you go, and of everyone actually having a character so that you don't have one or two people just taking over like in other escape room games (well, it's still possible, but this makes it easier to set parameters, like whichever character finds the last piece in a puzzle gets first try at solving it). Fun themes, fun and creative puzzles, just great games.

One time use, but fun...
Ok so the version I'm reviewing is the Tutor house one. Its essentially the original board game or the movie retold slightly. Thats not a bad thing mind you. Its very quick to play, easy to setup, and the puzzles are simple but can be a bit deceptive if you aren't paying attention. All in all good fun. However there are some draw backs. The play style sort of invites people to walk over others during play. This can be solved with a table rule or two, but point being is that you have to account for it. Second the replay value is low. Its definitely designed for a single play through as there is no way to rewire the game to provide different clues or have a different ending. Lastly they took the ending and clues a bit vaguely and as such it could be pretty hard to figure out the puzzle of the murderer if you didn't get a puzzle right or even if you do. I wish they might offer this in say an interactive video game sort of style so that it had higher replay value.

Fun to Play
I recently bought this game for my family and me, knowing we all enjoy solving puzzles together. What I love most about it is that it encourages teamwork rather than competition, making it perfect for family fun. Although it's designed as a one-time play experience, the enjoyment we got was absolutely worth it. The challenge brought us closer as we collaborated to crack the puzzles, creating some memorable moments. Iโm so impressed that Iโve decided to start collecting all the games like this. If you're into puzzle-solving and quality time with loved ones, this game is definitely a worthwhile pick.

Logical and lots of fun
My son and I had so much fun doing this together. I loved that it actually made sense and had a story line. Other escape room games have seemingly random puzzles or riddles but this one actually made sense and was logical. Really, really fun! You also don't have to ruin anything to solve it, so you can put away and play it again someday or give it to a friend to enjoy.

Very difficult.......
Ok might be just not as smart as the next person .. played with 2. 10 year old grandchildren..( which is recommendedfor 10 and above). I found the directions very confusing. I thought this was like the regular clue game..... my mistake it is NOT. you will have a very difficult time trying to put all these cards back in the correct order...grandkids were engaged for about the first hour... considering had no idea if we were even doing it correctly. Which i am 100% we were not. Older teenagers.. and adults.....๐ฅฒ

If you enjoy other escape games, youโll like this
Our gaming group really enjoyed this escape game, and the added challenge of figuring out who committed the crime was really fun. Great game mechanics, and excellent use of the Clue game theme throughout. Great fun!

Fun, but the ending didn't make sense
Was fun and well organized; an interesting way to play, for sure. The ending didn't seem to make a lot of sense though, which was a letdown.

Fun group game
We bought this as a gift for friends of ours and we played it New Years Eve. It was a fun group game, challenges weren't too easy to solve. We decided it would be to dress as the characters. It is a one time play, there isn't multiple solutions.
