Works just fine. I imagine some of the troubles others have had with similar items is that they're not four-pole (as needed for mic, left & right), but just three pole for stereo without a mic. Anyway, this works fine for 3.5mm cell phone headsets plugged into old cordless phone jacks of 2.5mm.

This is a great 4.4mm to 2.5mm balanced audio adapter. It works great and is of high quantity. I needed this to adapt my 2.5mm balanced cable of my Sennheiser HD-650 headphones to my dap. As a bonus, it came with a very nice pouch case that fits my Fiio JM21 dap perfectly. This is a great value at this price and the included case is just icing on the cake. Recommended highly!

The geekia 2.5mm to 4.4mm balanced adapter is exactly what I needed and then some. Structurally the adapter is quite robust. Both the gold plated 4.4mm male end and the 2.5mm male end are precision machined and have snug fits, but not too snug. It's easy to insert or extract. I tested the fit and sound with both my hiby W4 and my moondrop dawn pro 2. The body is well machined aluminum alloy with mildly textured knurling in the middle and close to the 2.5mm end. It appears to have what I would call a satin finish with discreet branding in one spot close to the 4.4mm end. This adapter, as far as I can tell, has no perceptible effect on the sound. It also comes with a rather large leather drawstring bag considering the size of the adapter, but I'm sure you wont have any issues finding a practical use for it. Overall, I am impressed and happy with my purchase. I can recommend this with near 100% confidence. I also found it funny thatmy adapter was in a small Ziploc bag, inside of a leather bag, inside of a larger ziplock bag, inside of an Amazon paper shipping bag.

I use Sennheiser HD 558 and 598 Headphones at both my gaming computers. But between my 5 year old and 10 year old they are extremely hard on cables. After paying too much for special Sennheiser replacement cables, I decided I would take both sets apart, remove the locking mechanism and use a 2.5mm Male to 3.5mm female adapter so i could use standard headphone cables. Initially I bought some cheap china adapters. Was like $7 for a 2 pack, and while they were basically a drop in option they just didn't hold up over time, when i move my head audio cuts out on one side. So I was back to square 1 looking for a solution. I bought a couple different adapters including one of these, it seems much higher quality and is a much tighter fit. Unfortunately it's not a drop in option. Its slightly larger diameter. I had to remove the chrome bezel and used my soldering iron to melt the hole out a bit larger. It looks fine, and I'm hopeful that this will be a final solution. I really think it will be, the quality is much better than the previous adapter, and it fits both the headphones and cable much tighter. I went ahead and ordered a second adapter for the other HD558 headphones. I do not use the balance feature of the adapter, so i cannot comment on that. However I can say it doesn't hinder anything either. It works fine, I have stereo sound, and maybe it's placebo but i'm 90% sure this adapter made them sound better and louder.

It's important to understand this adapter simply allows you to connect a 3.5mm plug into a 4.4mm balanced socket, it doesn't convert any signals. I used this to connect headphones with a 3.5mm plug into a dongle with a 4.4mm balanced socket. All it does in this case is draw a little more power, because it makes the sound louder. There's no change to the sound quality. In order to receive a balanced signal from a socket, the headphones and cable itself have to be wired in a balanced configuration, otherwise the signal stays the same (unbalanced). Keep this stuff in mind to determine if you only need an adapter or you need to change the entire cable.

I didn't worked for me. When using it to connect my DAP to my speaker, it introduced noise (a loud buzz) during idle. The 3.5mm cable had 3 black rings as shown in the photo of compatible connectors, but maybe it wasn't a balanced cable. Next I tested my headphones (Meze Neo 99), the sound via balanced 4.4mm output + adapter was louder, but quality was slightly worse (it alters the instrument separation). I thought of returning the adapter, but I feel guilty for the environmental cost of sending this back to the US (or Japan). Maybe I don't have the proper equipment. Considering the other reviews I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I bought this to use on my Fosi Audio K7 to drive a pair of Audi Technica ATH-M50x and it works great. Snug fit and no issues at all.

This is, so far, the best 4.4mm to 3.5mm conversion gadget I own. I have extensively used a few other 4.4-3.5 conversion wire, but this specific solid adapter delivers the best sound quality. Perhaps it's due to the lack of wire media that caused certain signal communication degradation. Highly recommended!

I bought this to use with the FIIO KA2 and would recommend it. I haven't encountered any issues with it. However, I noticed that one of my IEMs (KZ ZEX) is producing some kind of distortion. I suspect it's because of the cable from my IEM, as I don't have the same issues when using other IEMs (Salnote Zero and Shure SE215) or headphones (such as ATH-M50, Sony XM4, Steelseries Nova 7, Surface Headphone 2). So, if you experience any distortion, it could be due to your cable. One workaround is to use an AUX extension. I have a 10cm AUX extension that I use, and it eliminates the distortion for the IEM that I had issues with. However, what worked for me might be a different case for you, just keep that in mind.
