Small bag but good for topping of plants showing roots.
Good for adding a layer of soil to indoor plants. Small bag but just needed soil to top off 4 plants that were showing roots. No bugs or problems that I read on reviews of other products. Soil looks good and I made a good purchase.

Thigns are growing and there is no odor - I call that a win!
Is it expensive for what it is? I have no idea, as I have never looked for specialized soil for herbs. However, I am trying my hand at a winter herb garden for the first time, and since I live in snow country, that means setting up my first-ever indoor garden. My original soil for outdoors clearly had a stinky scent that was not a pleasant addition to my kitchen area. This has absolutely no odor! So far, my basil has been doing well (2 months in) and I am now working on germinating other herbs from seed in peat, then will transfer to containers using the soil.

Great soil if you don’t want a lot and my plants are growing very quickly! It doesn’t smell bad at all, the drainage is good. I think it’s good value for the money. In the picture you can see my progress on this batch, it has been maybe 4 days since I put it most of the seeds. The plant in the middle has been there 2 weeks but it is known to grow very slowly. Mind you this review is coming from someone who kills plants all the time. Not on purpose of course but I usually never get this far in the process. So I’m glad this soil has the nutrients these little plants needed!

Too small, but my fault!
I should have looked at the package sizing before I ordered, my fault. It was obviously for a very small outdoor plant. It worked well but I would need to order more than one package it was so small.
