Review: Worked as intended - Very effective only wish we had got it sooner. Hanging in top corner of a bed room which had a fruit fly problem, which it does not any more. You can turn it off as soon as there's no more flies. I recommend not to have it hanging in a direction you will be facing as with any UV lights. I did see the other reviews mention flies were seen crawling on the bulbs and yes they can as the bulb is not meant to electrocute them, that is simply a UV bulb, it's not electrocuted it's there for the purpose of attracting flies. It is the inside of the metal grid that does the job when they go to fly back out. Only thing I could nitpick is that occasionally flies do get stuck on the grid when electrocuted, which can be quite alarming and create a slight smell of burning. So more of an advice point than a product flaw, as I think that happens to all electric fly killers and is not really something that can be fixed by being engineered or designed. When this happens I tend to turn the unit off and wait a minute then use something long and thin to clear it off to drop down to the tray.
