This food is expensive, but worth it if you want to see incredible gains in your young koi. My tosai grew about an inch a month during the warm months when I fed them this twice a day. It was their favorite food by far. They got incredibly spoiled and were annoyed when they had to switch back to wheat germ in the fall 😄. The pellets are too small to sustain full-grown koi, but they loved the taste as well.

Excellent for growth and works as promised. I purchased a generic koi baby from the pet store, and within maybe two months he has gained significant weight and length. My older koi, also generic and store bought, grew to a healthy lovely plump size in no time. I am sooooo glad that I switched to this premium koi food over pet store brands that are probably junk. :) Be sure to review the small writing on the bottom right, or side panel, to confirm you're using the correct size for your koi. If I had to repurchase, I would have started them on the smaller kibble, but I'm fortunate this worked out so well. Even the busy baby-making tiny mosquito fish love it. (Mosquito fish are native to our area, like tiny minnows. They were added to our koi pond, by my kiddo for fun!)

Fish DO grow quickly. I was happy with the color as well. Fish remained healthy for many years on this diet.

It is expensive, but having used this in the pond with my Koi, I can see the difference. The pond has less protein build-up (foam). The koi seem to digest this with minimal waste. Water clarity and quality have been fine, but some other foods (the cheaper brands) seem to cause more debris and build-up in the pond. I'm feeding drastically more with this food and am surprised at the levels I provide vs. waste and proteins created from food. It shows how the cheaper food houses much wasteful bi-product not used by the Koi. I will never look back to cheaper food, and it's that much of a difference!

I swear one season of feeding your koi this or the color enhancing formula and you will notice the desired difference in your fishy family
