Good pump, great customer service.
When I installed the 800 GPH pump in our pond it worked, but it made more noise than I thought it should make, and I wondered if it would bother the fish (maybe the package was dropped during shipment?). The pump is part of a filter system. Over time it became more quiet and kept working. However after 10 months it suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason.I contacted support, and sent a picture of the pump + inner parts, which were clearly damaged. I received a thorough response with possible reasons leading to the pump to fail and the promise of a replacement. Two days later I received a new pump which seems to work better; I believe it produces a stronger flow than the one that broke down. Five stars for how the company keeps its customers happy.

A Very Good Pond PUMP!
I love this pond pump!! It was such a hard decision to make. There are so many pumps with size and power determining factors i just wasn't sure which to choose. Well I guess I chose well. This pump has worked perfectly for about 2 weeks. I use it for a small outdoor pond (around 700 gallons) which gets pretty murky without the moving water. The last pump I used was a much larger one and required a filter. Because of the algae in the pond this became a nuisance because I had to clean that filter more often than I wanted. This pump doesn't have a filter and Ive only had to clean pond debris from around the outside of the pump once in the 2 weeks. Its small and easy to camouflage under the water. But its extremely powerful for its size! I especially love the water flow regulator. I can turn it up or down depending on how strong I want the flow of water. All in all A GREAT Buy! I recommend this pump for small to medium size ponds!!

... size of this pump I am both surprised and pleased at it's performance
For the price and size of this pump I am both surprised and pleased at it's performance. I personally like the ability to remove debris from the screen quickly to optimize water flow. The pump also comes with several tube size adapters that make it easy to fit whatever size tube you have. Having the flow control is nice, but I usually just have it going full bore. A quick look at the interior components gave me an added contentedness that this product was going to last as long as I needed it to. Would rate it a five, but my only qualm is the power cord is too short, which can be simply fixed with an extension cord.

Wonderful mighty little pump!
Although we use this pump in our small water garden, we recently used it in an emergency when our sump pump quit and were able to pump 6 inches of water out of our basement. There was a lift of 9 or 10 feet but this pump did it in about 6 hours. It's back in the water garden and working great. We've also had it in a filter bag since we got it.

Pump failed after 3 months, ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
The 800 GPH pumps don't have many reviews, but the smaller pumps from this vendor have many reviews. A good number of them are negative with various problems about excessive noise and early failure, usually in that order. One poster actually had his pump short circuit and send and electric current through the water.I purchased my pump in March. Today (June 10) it completely failed after creating a HAZARDOUS ELECTRICAL CURRENT IN THE WATER COLUMN. I have an aquaponics system and I received a curious ZAP when touching the water today to inspect my system. I tested the water on the electrical meter and it registered a current. The current traveled through the water a good 40 or 50 feet and could be tested, though weakly, in the fish tank itself. The pump is in a separate tank. AMAZING.Bottom line -- Read the other reviews on these products. They are very cheap and they seem to frequently break, and potentially short circuit in the water.

Gutless pump
Pump rather week for our specified purpose. This pump was utilized to push from rain barrel, configured in a manner where a typical garden hose was hose clamped to exhaust portion of this pump, with pump submerged in bottom of rain barrel. Note that this pump was elevated approximately 4" above bottom of barrel to prevent sediments from potentially interfering with normal function. That stated, hose was configured in a manner that that required a lift of approximated three feet relative to position of pump. That additional atmospheric pressure significantly weakened capacity of pump to where it is just slightly stronger than free flowing water thru hose. Very disappointed in performance, and if could, I would return this item in favor of something other than a submersible pump. Our old magnum300 aquarium pump seemed to have much more power capacity and it is still functioning after over 20 yrs of use.

Great pump
I bought this pump 3/31/13. I've been running this non-stop for almost a year now in my aquaponics system without fail. This pump is an animal. I really didn't need one this powerful but I'm into over kill. I really had to dial it back or it would flood the grow bed along with the floor. I'm going to buy another one for back up but less GPH. UPDATE: March 31, 2014. The pump started making some really scary noises the last few days and died completely today. In all fairness to the pump, I forgot you can take these apart to clean it. I never touched the pump for the year it was running. I just took it apart and it was really, really funky. Very slimy, full of fish waste. I'm guessing the all that waste loaded it down and that's what's killed it. I'm going to order another one but this time I'll keep it clean.

Poor Quality
Pump worked fine in the water, first time a racoon pulled it out of the water it burned up.
