Very good router, I recommend!
Currently up and running, great seamless connection. The coverage is very good. In an old stone wall house, where signal has always been a problem. (Previously had to have 3-4 extenders with my n300 4g routerโฆ zero with this!) Bought deco extenders and didnโt end up needing them! Very strong signal. Very simple setup. I will update as I continue to use!

Massively improved Wi-Fi speed
I was originally using the router provided by EE. This had issues where it would drop out for no reason despite having phone signal. The decco took roughly 30minutes to set up and hasnโt dropped out once. I bought an external antenna as a backup and havenโt plugged it in as the decco hasnโt needed it. Iโm very impressed with this router.

Great router but slow
The speed is slow. 4G on iphone 14 pro max is faster than 4G on this router. That is the only drawback I can think of.

Perfect unit for 4g external aerials
Faultless set up process, fantastic signal reception from the external aerial (nice touch with the aerial plug adaptors too) and deployment throughout the house, can't recommend this item enough.

Poor choices from TP-Link
I don't know what is TP-Link's problem with setting up a router the normal way, by connecting to 192.168.1.1, but force you to download an app from the internet to set up internet access is very ironic. Almost amusing, if seen from outside. Oh, they also force you to create yet another account, yet another time you have to input your personal data, so that you can manage your own router that you paid for. And in an era where everything has to be "smart", this process is not even without hassle.

Does what it is meant to do - and the product support is excellent
Neat package, setup is fairly easy (I did have some very good help from their product support team - shout out to Rommel), and it does what it is meant to do.

Easy to set up and strong wifi signal
Purchased as a stop gap whilst I wait for full fibre to become available. Wi-Fi coverage is fairly good across a 4 bed 1930's house with solid internal walls and I'm getting a fast connection almost everywhere although I ordered an X50 extender so I can place the router to obtain the best 4g signal (which window the router is located next to in your house can make a massive difference to connection speed) and still get really good coverage throughout the house and back garden by placing the Wi-Fi extender towards the rear of the house. Note that 4g internet is not as consistent as a physical connection and speeds vary throughout the day although I'm getting a fairly consistent 38mps on the Three network, 4g also has a habit of dropping to a low signal (and therefore a low mps) so rebooting the router to rediscover a faster node is often required. Update: The router became prone to crashing, often losing all the config data requiring me to do a complete set up, so a replacement has been requested. All firmware is latest release but the crashes are becoming more frequent so the unit is probably a duff one. Latest update: The replacement unit also started to crash but as my landline is now disconnected I needed to keep it until I decided what to replace it with. After a day or two more the unit became stable and appears to be consistently much faster than the previous unit so I'm hanging onto it for a while longer. Stability seems to be negatively impacted for a while by adding Deco x50 extenders to the network, a few power downs seems to improve things though. Using the soft reboot option via the app often exasperates the issue but pulling the power connector out and leaving it for a few minutes seems to do the job far better. It's now been crash free for a few weeks.
