and it is great but it doesn't have a dvd driver
This is just what I was needing! I bought an Acer laptop from costco last year, and it is great but it doesn't have a dvd driver. I've been lookng around to get one and decided to try this. It was a good price and I"m really happy with the product! It is a nice slim design, and I love that there is a spot for the cord to be stored on the bottom of the device. Using it is super simple- plug it in and that's it! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for an external dvd driver.

Small and compact!
Great little product. Small and compact. Love that cord hides neatly underneath. Happy with purchase.Husband tried out DVD-RW with desktop and noted that while short cord is nice for connecting to lap top, it is too short to connect to desktop without an additional cord. Husband also began to have problems where the door to disk drive did not want to close and would take a few times before it stayed shut. He was able to burn videos to a disk for our upcoming vacation which will be awesome for keeping our daughter entertained on the airplane.

It just plain works.
The drive is easily attached through the USB port, and Windows recognizes it fairly quickly. You need to make sure to attach the cd to its central hub securely or it will make noises as it spins up. Overall a great product so far. This became very useful when I built a new computer with a case with no external bays, so adding a DVD drive was not an option, yet all the computer components came with DVD's to install the initial drivers.

Initial unit was catching when I attempted close it. Without prompting the seller initiated the shipment of a second unit and it is working flawlessly.

I'm so happy I was able to get this item at such a good price,Very quiet operation. worked as it supposed to. bought new computer and it didn't have a disk drive. thought they all had one. out of the box plugged it in and worked just like that.

Slim and handy portable DVD with a acceptable price.
The product I received looks much better than I expected. It is slim with a cool top cover. It works great with my old DVDs. Nice choice in this price range.

Not a good product
I should have done more research.....this is a terrible product. The instructions are minimal and it is difficult to follow.It is almost impossible to get the DVD out of the machine. The ejection button does not work.Very disappointing!! Do not buy.....really
