RV Thermistor for Dometic Refrigerator 3851210025,Dometic Fridge Thermistor

I tested this thermistor using the official Dometic diagnostic service manual procedure. I placed the sensor in a glass of ice water (heavy on the ice) between 33°F and 35°F and let it sit for about 10 minutes. According to Dometic, a good sensor should read between 8,000 and 10,000 ohms under these conditions. My readings came in exactly where they needed to be Fluke 87V: 9.55 kΩ LCR Meter: 9.47 kΩ Because this is a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor, the resistance correctly climbed as the temperature dropped. The sensor is verified accurate and performing perfectly within factory specifications. Highly recommended!

This was a direct replacement for my RV fridge: plugs right in. It's been working fine for a month and seems more robust then the one that was replaced.

It repaired our rv fridge, and was simple to install. Fridge only made it another month before fully giving out so i couldnt test it long enough to vouch for the reliability.

Excellent!!! Finally....a Thermistor that meets Domestic Specifications. I just ordered another for a spare. 2800 ohms @ 77F.....spec 2786 ohms 7500 ohms @ 40F.....spec 7448 ohms 9400 ohms @ 32F.....spec 9370 ohms I just ordered another for a spare.

We were having a serious problem with our new 5th Wheel refrigerator not getting cold enough. I think the problem was a combination of the thermistor and the location. I replaced the thermistor with this one AND I relocated this new one. DO NOT locate the thermistor on the aluminum fins as it came from the factory! That Is a cold spot and it does NOT reflect the temperature in the middle of the fridge. Instead remove the clip that held the thermistor on the fin and use it to hang the new thermistor from the wire shelf. T he thermistor function is a bit opposite of what you might think. In an RV refrigerator it's function is to keep the fridge portion from freezing by shutting down the coolant circulation. By hanging it on a cold cooling fin you are faking out the fridge sensor. Once you relocate it you can move it around if too cold till you find the desired temperature. Mine is located at a spot where it keeps things at 35⁰. You will definitely be surprised at the difference it makes. The thermistor is a very easy replacement. Don't be intimidated.

My RV refrigerator no longer is a freezer!

This thermistor is advertised as 10 ohms, it reads 9.13 ohms. I don’t understand why a thermistor cannot be built to a full 10 ohms. My fridge is 40-48 degrees with it’s existing thermistor which reads 8.34 ohms.

Replaced the old part in our tv with this one. Worked right away. Fridge now holds steady at the proper temperature!
