Everything was going along fine using these for my regular data backups until....I put one of these thumb drives in my pocket and forgot about it, and sent it through the clothes washer and also put it into the dryer and "dried" it. I heard the clacking around in the dryer and...there it was. And when I took it out of the dryer, it was HOT. At that point, I decided to immediately buy an identical replacement for that one, and not take a chance on continuing to use it. I didn't want to risk that the washed one would fail on me sooner or later, have shorter lifespan, or loose any data. After receiving the third one (the replacement) and doing my regular backup onto it, I then decided to try to the one that I inadvertently washed and dried and....it works perfectly with no loss of data. Then when pushed the other way the Type A connector is revealed. **Q: Is there a way to attach this to your key chain?** A: There is a tiny cutout on the rear which presumably is intended for a (thin) keychain or thread loop. But it's so small as to be useless in most cases; I have a lanyard clip attachment with super thin bungee cord to thread onto things like this, and it doesn't fit. I tried to attach the very small split ring from my Swiss Army knife on it, and it was pretty much impossible. You will be hard-pressed to find something which can attach to this.
