I am beyond impressed with this paint! I used this pack to create a welcome sign for my wedding! I have never done faux stained glass before, and only just learned about it. I adore the real thing, but it is quite pricey. I decided to try it on my two small windows on the front door. I hunted online for a pattern I liked and drew it larger on a piece of copy paper, which was the exact size as the window. I taped the paper behind the glass and traced the lead lines directly onto the window. The lead lines are quite shaky looking up close - it was nearly impossible to keep my hand steady enough. However, from a distance they look quite realistic. The next day I filled in with the paints. I'm mostly happy with how it looks. The paint did clump and drip down a bit which is the reality of painting on a vertical surface. I cut out and re-did the bottom two pink squares on the left window because they ran so badly, but as you can see, they still ran. Oh well. I'm not doing it for a third time, and it doesn't bother me that much. The only other complaint I have is that the crystal clear I used to texture the clear panels is still a bit milky looking in places more than 24 hours later. Perhaps it will become completely clear as it cures; not sure. Overall, I am quite happy with the whole project. From the outside it looks just as nice, especially at night with the light shining behind the windows. I did not buy their special kit of tools. I used nothing but the bottles themselves to get the paint on and spread around, a pocketknife to remove the two squares to redo, and my finger to get the clear parts textured.

Great fun. Can do a variety of art. Is easy to use. Dries quickly and even. The colors are great! Will definitely buy again.

Super cool product, it let me essentially design my own privacy screen instead of getting one of the rolls of faux stained glass. The lead lines are difficult at first, but with some markings on the glass and a confident steady hand you can make it work. You can also use a straight edge to make lines on another window, peel them off and place them exactly where you need. I used 2 sets of these paints plus one 8oz jar of clear, another 8oz jar of lead lines, and one 2oz jar of blue to mix the color for the beetle. Mixing colors is easy if you have another container you can squirt them out of. The yellow is the worst color in this set. It takes multiple coats to show up, and is very runny. Other than that, all the other colors were fine. (I didn’t use peach in my design)

I have mixed feelings about this paint. It isn’t terribly easy to use on a vertical surface — the paint tends to run a bit and requires a learning curve to get it to look right. Most disappointing was the major color inconsistency between two bottles of the same Peach Tea color. You can see that I used an entire bottle between the left lower pane and the top of the lower right. I used part of a second bottle on the lower part and it is significantly more orange. I’ll now have to peel off that and try a third bottle to see if I can get a better match. I’m pretty disappointed since it is time consuming and somewhat costly. That said, I do like the look of the clear paint—it mimics old wavy glass and provides a nice bit of privacy while allowing the light to shine through. If I were to do it again I’d likely not choose to use colors for a large space due to batch variation.

5 stars. I see why this is out of stock so often. I had a spare piece of glass and got it in my mind to do a diy stained glass project like I used to do when I was a kid. The spouts are thin enough for small details, but you still might want to fill in tiny areas with a Bobby pin or paper clip to get everything. The leading is thick enough that it doesn't drip but you can still fix mistakes before it dries. Colors are thinner so be careful when squeezing, but they look gorgeous when they dry and still look great/clear after multiple layers.

This should be called Glass in a bottle. My house is themed 1950 Art Deco and buying stained glass gets expensive and if I want costume stained glass its even more expensive. I decided to give this a try and Im hooked. I showed it to one of my friends who does real stained glass and she couldn't tell the difference. When I told her I had done this, she couldn't believe it. This product has a website where it teaches you techniques too. I really had fun making this window panel. Highly recommend it 👌 👍 👏 🙌 😀

Excellent value for money and really easy to use! Great selection of colours, at a high quality with a quick drying time! I bought some lead lines to go with it and did my whole window in a single afternoon! (Picture of the window taken whilst drying!)

This is the best kind of stain glass paint. I can't believe how much the price has gone up. I used to buy this exact same paint at the dollar store for $1.00 ea

Quality paint, package contains pale colors. Colors are brighter when they dry.

Absolutely brilliant product. If you're looking to create a stained glass effect then this is the go to paint to use. I've used other brands and nothing comes close.

A bit pricey for what it is. Nevertheless, it works well and is easy to use if you follow the instructions. Can’t be used vertically, the glass must be laying flat. Would buy again.
