does this pump have the power enough to pump the water about 8 feet up? i want to install in basement and pump straight up to kitchen sink.

It should have enough head to get up 8 ft, but it will be at a diminished flow rate. I am currently pumping up 5 ft with no issues. I suspect your application is really 8 feet from the basement and then 3 more feet to the sink, for a total of 11 ft. I would put the bottles in the basement on a table to reduce the head requirement.
