Review: Ruxpin is brilliant my honest feedback - I brought this for my 2 year old daughter because she likes singing and reading books and it’s been played with every day. She loves the songs and will listen to the stories even though she doesn’t understand all of it. The lcd eyes are great she likes to see the pictures appearing throughout the stories. I read negative reviews and I was hesitant at first but I’m glad I brought it. A lot of thought has gone into making it and I haven’t seen any soft toys like this on the current market, and the ones that do talk made by companies like fisher price or vtech are ugly and have an irritating voice over done by some random person singing a dreadful song and repeating only a few meaningless phrases. Great animation like Ruxpin is a lost art in today’s animation for kids. I advise parents to give him a chance, your child will warm to him more and more. Don’t be put off thinking your child will not be interested in old school animation, my 2 year old knows no difference.

The technology has improved so much since the 80's I knew the interactive part had to be better and from what my brother has told me it is. He comes with stories pre downloaded on him and you can easily downloads an app to most devices and install more. As for those creepy eyes, she absolutely loves them! She stares into Teddy's eyes like he is a master cult leader and she is his number 1 follower. She gets completely mesmerized by those big, blue, creepy, fake eyes and listens to every word that comes out of his mouth. So, overall I think that this is a great purchase for any toddler out there. Teddy is cute, cuddly, and extremely durable. The songs and stories he shares allow children to learn while their having fun at the same time. I am very happy with this purchase and happy to say that Teddy is one of my nieces favorite toys just like the original was mine back in the day.

Additional stories can be purchased and unlocked using the Teddy Ruxpin app and are available for both individual and bundled purchase in the app. Stories are $4.99 / each if purchased individually. The two bundles available are the 5 Story Bundle for $19.95 and the 7 Story Bundle at $24.99.

**Q: Lack of a physical book is a show stopper or us. Does this include a real book?**
A: No physical book included. You need to have a device (smart phone/ iPad/ tablet) that you can download a free app onto. The app comes with 3 free stories and you can purchase more through the app.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Daughter loves it!

Bought this for my daughters sixth birthday, she loves it, for the last 4 days she has been playing with it and taking it to bed. Great toy. I like that the volume has high and low, so she can switch to low at bedtime. The software can use more work, it crashes allot but you don’t really need it other than for a read along or buying new content. I hope they add more content to buy along the way, I bought this for 50 dollars, don’t think I would have paid 100 for it though. However, for this price it is excellent and very well worth it. I connected it to the pc using a micro USB cable, it has all the content even the locked ones predownloaded to the toy, capacity is 4GB and only 321MB is used, so theoretically this can hold at least 10X more content.
