That is 2.68inch! I also highly recomend that you try mounting your dive knife to your shoulder. That way it is super easy for both hands. I didn't get it for diving, so I can't say anything about about the BCD mount. I got it for fishing in hard-to-get-to places, or out of a kayak. It's always within reach if you strap to a life vest/backpack, and you probably won't drop it with the rubber grip (even if you do, it was pretty cheap). Still, a great piece of equipment to have if you're limited on space, either on foot, or in a kayak. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware. The mounting screws did not line up with the mounting bracket on my Mares BCD and am unable to attach this product to my BCD. If you are looking at this product, I suggest that you measure the mounting screws on your BCD and ask the seller how far apart are the screws. This was not disclosed and I did not ask the question. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars I thought this would stay on better than the other smaller knife I had *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2018* I thought this would stay on better than the other smaller knife I had, but attaching it to the BCD inflator hose (the other was smaller and attached to the air hose) was a mistake as I lost the knife on my second dive, even though it has a more secured click casing. It's short and stubby, and the high viz should be on the handle (in case you drop it) NOT the case IMO.
