Could this tape be used for barefoot horse

I used this to help secure a poultice for a Sole injury. I used duct tape around the edges of it to secure it to the hoof. These were perfect for what I needed to use them for. I keep these on hand in my first aid kit. My horse is shod. Not sure if this is helpful to answer your question?

I did not cut them. I wrapped it around the hoof like in the diagram. I also wrapped it with duct tape
