My grandson wants to learn how to play piano so I grabbed one of these to get him started. The keyboard has many features to make this a great value. In reality, it’s a very inexpensive music workstation that can be played; and it lets you record what you are playing. It has many of the same features that my $1,200 Roland workstation had for a fraction of the price. Now, I don’t want to give the impression that this rivals the Roland, it is a lot more cheaply built, but for a beginner it is a great way to start. It can run off a power block, but also can run off built-in rechargeable batteries. It has a medium length set of keys – 66, which will cover the range most kids will be learning on. There are lots of settings to program the keyboard to include splitting it into two different sounds and adding some sound tailoring to the instrument. You can connect a laptop. Phone or speaker to it via Bluetooth to really enhance your playing experience. It also has several sample songs built in. It will serve as a MIDI programmer, too, and can function with popular music writing software. It has a full range of MIDI sounds, too – 129, ranging from several types of piano to organ, vibes, even strings and horns. It also offers a lot of rhythm options. Controls are pretty standard for this type of keyboard. They are actually more intuitive than some more expensive keyboards I’ve seen. It has built-in speakers, so you can practice without an amp or speaker, but has a headphone jack for silent practice. It also has a cheap plastic sustain pedal, charging cable a power supply and a protective case. There is a lot to like about this keyboard, but I have to say the sound is not all that great. It isn’t terrible, but piano notes don‘t sustain all that well… but then again, most keyboards in this price range won’t sound any better. Organ sounds were a bit better, and that is what I personally draw upon for most keyboard use. I felt very comfortable rating this keyboard 4 stars, as it represents a great way for someone to learn the basics of keyboards before investing in something a lot more expensive. While you may eventually decide to do that, for now, you’ll be learning some basic keyboard features that will show up again in much more expensive models. All-in-all this really is a pretty decent keyboard.

What a world we live in! For a very low price we can go on amazon and get a small portable piano delivered to us. :) This fills my heart with joy. This is my first keyboard like this, although I have owned pianos. The sound is different, for sure. But it sounds just great to me! There are so many features on this little guy that it will take me a while to get them all down. But so far I just think it is great for what ai need, which is an affordable option for a beginner. I wish the cord was longer. I had to set it up pretty close to a plug. And while I love that they included a storage case, I wish the case could fit the keyboard and the plug and pedal. Those have to be stored separately.

So, I had a bit of a different experience with this one than expected. When I received the keyboard it said foldable on the packaging, but this didn't fold for me at all. There was no folding feature. Also, this says "MIDI" as in there should be a way for you to plug in a MIDI cable and there isn't any. But rather it's a midi Bluetooth. So if you're hoping to use an app to learn the piano that needs you to plug into the keyboard with a midi cable, this isn't one to get. However, despite these difficulties, there are some plusses. The sound is great and I love that you can plug in headphones. I also like the fact that it doesn't need to be plugged into use thanks to it's internal battery. It also comes with a case, making it really easy to tote around. So, it's a mixed bag for me, but depending on your needs and what you are looking for, it could be a good fit for you.

For the price point it's a really good keyboard. I wish it cost slightly more and had a better grand piano sound. Definitely a good starter keyboard for those on a budget. So light that it should work with most if not all keyboard stands. The keys were well sized. The keyboard responsiveness/feel/pushback while not great was what should be expected at this price point. I would've liked to see a small wire sheet music stand attachment for the keyboard. The owner's manual is a bit thin. Again, for the price this is a really good keyboard. If you're on a budget and getting this for a child who will need to travel with it, I'd recommend a better padded case. The keyboard is light enough for a child (8 and above) to carry, but I worry about the impact protection of the stock case.

This was ordered for a college student taking piano for the first time. We wanted a lower cost basic keyboard without tons of craziness-and by craziness I mean like a thousand buttons. This keyboard is on the slimmer size in terms of depth, which we like. The keys are a good size. The student thinks it’s adequate. It is rechargeable, which is definitely cool. We wish the sound quality on the speakers was better-he said it sounds better on headphones than the speaker. Definitely good choice for a beginner on a budget, but no one will be bringing this to Carnegie Hall.
