Excellent Sound and Impressive Quality!
I recently got my hands on the JBL Reflect Aero True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds, and they have quickly become my go-to pair for everything from workouts to work calls. Here’s why they stand out: Sound Quality: The sound is exceptional, with deep bass and clear mids and highs. Whether I’m listening to music, podcasts, or taking calls, the audio is crisp and immersive. JBL never disappoints when it comes to delivering great sound. Noise Cancellation: The active noise cancellation (ANC) feature is a game-changer, especially in noisy environments. It effectively blocks out background noise, allowing me to focus on my music or calls without distractions. The ANC is adjustable, which is a nice touch for when you want to be aware of your surroundings. Call Quality: With 6 built-in mics and VoiceAware technology, call quality is top-notch. The person on the other end hears me clearly, even in windy or noisy conditions. I appreciate the clarity and consistency of the calls, which is essential for work. Fit and Comfort: The earbuds are designed with a secure fit in mind, and they stay in place even during intense workouts. They come with multiple ear tip sizes, so it’s easy to find the perfect fit. They’re also comfortable to wear for extended periods, which is a big plus. Battery Life: The battery life is impressive, with hours of playback time even with ANC turned on. The charging case provides additional charges, making it easy to keep them powered up on the go. Design: The sleek and modern design looks great, and the build quality feels premium. The touch controls are intuitive and responsive, making it easy to adjust settings or skip tracks without pulling out my phone. Conclusion: Overall, the JBL Reflect Aero True Wireless Earbuds are a fantastic choice for anyone looking for high-quality sound, effective noise cancellation, and reliable call performance. They’re perfect for both everyday use and more demanding activities. Highly recommend!

Save your money and your frustration
I recommend you DO NOT BUY these earbuds. If you're like me, you look at the features and the price and think, "Hmmm... maybe this is a good value." I advise you to think again. Buying these earbuds is tantamount to buying a little box of frustration. They just are NOT ready for prime time. I will concede that the sound quality is good -- better than my AirPods -- but what good does that do when you can NEVER get them to work correctly? Nothing goes smoothly. I am constantly beset with issues. Here are some of the chronic ones: 1. They don't always charge in the case because they don't line up. If you attach the little rubber "wings" those will interfere with charging, too. When you go to use them, you then realize they weren't charging and they are now non-functional. 2. They don't reliably connect to bluetooth. Even when they show as connected, the music often doesn't come out of the right one. 3. They fall out. No matter what you do, they fall out! 4. They are never, ever comfortable in my ears. My ear canals are irritated from them. 5. The "ear fit" process does not work. I spent 30 minutes trying to get it to say I had a good fit, using all different sizes of ear cushions. NEVER did I get it to say I had a good fit. What a bummer to buy a brand new product, and have it march you over and over through an unsuccessful process of fitting to your ears. Right out of the box you feel like you have something defective in your hands, or you have defective ears. 6. Pairing and restarting is not intuitive at all. When I am in the JBL app and I click the link for how to restart, it doesn't bring me to instructions for restart. Instead it brings me to the entire 44-page microscopic-font "quick setup" guide. Basically it says "Here, figure it out yourself." Then it attempts (unsuccessfully) to communicate with pictures and icons. Useless. 7. Software update is flaky. It took me half a dozen attempts to update before it worked. Constantly lost bluetooth connection in the process. 8. Chat with tech support was unhelpful. They just emailed me a list of things to try. They were apologetic but unable to help. I write this now, having actually gotten the headphones to work correctly, after 45 minutes to an hour of work. Screw these earbuds. JBL just offered me 35% off of buying something else from their store, but I'll never buy another JBL product after my experience with these. My Airpods have literally worked 100% of the time with zero issues. Never even had to think about charging, or software updates. To use these JBL Reflect Aeros you need to be a damn system administrator.

I really wanted to like this but…
I had these ear buds for about a month and they immediately gave me issues. Each little problem in and of itself wasn’t a deal breaker but combined it just became too difficult to use while running. First, the fit was never great. They’d constantly fall out of my ears while I was running. There were also connectivity issues on both sides of the coin - sometimes they would disconnect while I was running; other times the earbuds would randomly connect while in the case. While talking on the phone with the earbuds there was constantly an echo and I could not focus on my conversations. finally the Alexa companion would never work. Even after setting it up in the Alexa app and ensuring it was paired in the JBL app I could never seem to get it to work where I would receive audio messages through the headphones. The only redeeming quality about this system was that the charging connection in the case was fantastic. Lots of earbuds struggle to get a firm connection, but I found the earbuds would easily slip into the charging port.

Fit Better Than NMost Ear Buds For Me
I was actually a little concerned about fit since I have had little luck with past ear buds and considering the price, reasonably so. I found thought that the fit was the best I had ever had with ear buds! One drawback is the price. They don't come cheap. So was the high price worth it? Well, I found the sound to be better than most of the ear buds I have tried. That was a plus. As for the ambient sound vs noise reduction, there is a HUGE difference compared to the others! I was drving a loud noisy diesel truck and it had no bluetooth. Of course, even if it did, I probably wouldn't be able to hear it over the diesel noise that is so prevalent. The JBL Aeros overcame the noise with no problem. I mentioned fitment. I have trouble getting ear buds to stay in my ear. And since these are waterproof, I was planning on using them at my complex swimming pool so retention was critical. It took me a little effort to figure out how to get them to fit my ear properly. But once I did, they stayed unlike the others. They also have 3 different cups to fit various ear sizes. Those plusses made them worth it to me. The reason I didn't give them 4 stars is the price. They are head and shoulders above the prices of any I have so far looked at. In fact, on average I would dare say double that of most ear buds. For me they were worth it. Others maybe not so much.

Great fit, uneven battery drainage.
The Reflect series have always had a great fit, great sound and these are my third pair in 5 years and they will be my last. The unbalanced battery drainage has been a continuous problem and has persuaded my rating and reasoning for returning these earbuds.

Stooped working after 3 months - poor warranty system
Purchased based on wirecutter recommendation. Great sound quality and solid app to set up. Connectivity is excellent via Bluetooth, solid battery life, as advertised. Not a product I would recommend for runners (despite the reco from wirecutter) as it simply did not hold in my ears, no matter what combo of earbuds I used. I almost these twice while running. Less than 3 months after purchase, and pretty much overnight, one of the earbud started having a crackling sound and lost about 70pct of it volume output. Warranty in place but: This particular product is sold out so I can't get the same one as a replacement Replacement does not get shipped until you send the original product back. It took over a week for the original product to be formally received at the warehouse and for a replacement product to be shipped. The replacement will take about a week to get to my place. Overall,I will have been without earbuds for over 3 weeks because of a defective products and a less than customer first warranty system. Overall disappointed with JBL/Harmann Kardon

Consumer Beware - NOT for swimming!
I was in the market for a pair of earphones to listen to music while I swam. I saw someone at the gym with a pair and I did some research. I found a site that said the JBL Reflect Aero were their #1 choice. I looked on Amazon and found them on sale for the holiday season. I read the description and it clearly stated these earphones can be used in water up to 1.5 meters (5 feet) for 30 mins. After seeing the confirmation I had the correct earphones in mind, I bought 3 pairs. I discovered after trying them you cannot swim with them if you intend to listen to music. They can be submerged for that length of time and depth as stated, but as soon as the earphones hit the water, the music stops. I reached out to JBL and asked for help. There were no instructions included in the box and I thought I was doing something wrong. Below is the response JBL gave me as to why it wasn't working: Hello Heather, Thank you for contacting Harman Customer Support. Here is the reason why JBL Reflect Aero is not suitable for swimming: -The Bluetooth signal cannot travel underwater, due to laws of physics, as water molecules attenuate the signal. -Water activates the touch functions and the Bluetooth loses connection as soon as the bud is immersed The unit can be waterproof in another way like a splash of water, sweatproof and, it can be submerged from the water but it does not work when inside the water. I hope I was able to provide you with the answer you were looking for. If you have additional questions, just let us know and we'll be happy to further assist. Their customer service was very nice and I appreciate the time they took to look into this for me. I believe their advertisement of this product is leading the consumer to believe they can listen to music or whatever while swimming and you in fact, cannot. But, you can wear them! So, if you are interested in swimming with earphones for the heck of it, this is your product. If you want to listen to music or a podcast while swimming, I'd try another set of earphones. Good luck!

The JBL earbuds stay in your ears when running
First, I bought the Bose, but the first pair's left ear soon died. Send them back and reordered them. The second pair developed the same problem. Sound quality and noise cancellation were superb. Next, I bought the new Sony earbuds which had a great conversation feature--if you talk, they shut down for a bit. The sound quality was almost up to the Bose, but they would not stay in my ears while I sat at my desk. I changed earbuds and bought silicone ones, but they still fell out too easily. Finally, after reading tech recommendations in the NY Times, I bought the JBL earbuds, which didn't have the sound quality or the intense noise cancellation of the Bose or Sony but stayed in my ears while I ran. If Bose gets their act together, those are great. If you plan to use your earbuds during exercise, the JBLs are the best.

After six months battery draining at 30% per hour .
Yep. My advise . Skip this ear buds , sound quality okay . The trouble started when battery started draining 30% plus percentage per hour . Figure that out . That’s less than three hours . For only music . Every other function off . In very quiet surroundings Update as of 29th July .Left ear bud battery drained to almost zero within an hour Second update : 30 July 2024. Left earbud has died completely Update : 28th August 2024. Right ear bud almost close to failing . Only twenty minutes before drained fully from full charge . I think I got a defective product from JBL . Right from the beginning . Only had maximum about four hours plus of power from full charge just listening to music while running in quiet conditions . And it’s almost worthless now. Only six months of use .

Disappointing Durability - Right Earbud Failed After 1 Year
I purchased these earbuds in February 2024 and was initially very pleased with their performance. The sound quality was solid and they worked perfectly. However, the honeymoon phase only lasted about six months. I started noticing that the right earbud's battery life was getting significantly shorter than the left one. The problem has gotten progressively worse, and now, the right earbud won't charge past 15%. This gives me a maximum of 10 minutes of listening time before it shuts itself off, making the pair essentially unusable. While they were excellent at the start, a lifespan of only one year is unacceptable for the price. Be aware of this potential battery issue before you decide to purchase.
