Después de la mala experiencia con el prensado penoso del Powerslave, tengo que decir que este está perfecto. Sin ninguna impureza de fabricación ni manipulación, sin sonidos extraños de fondo, y perfectamente plano. El sonido de este remaster lo encuentro un poco demasiado grave, pero hace siglos que no escucho el original, así que no puedo decir si es mejor o peor. Con un poco de eq se soluciona. También, la canción Killers da la sensación de haber sido masterizada por separado, porque tiene más agudos y volumen que las demás. Aparte de eso. Todo perfecto.

The main reason I picked this up when I did was to honor the memory of the band's first lead vocalist, Paul Di'Anno, who passed in 2024. At the time of writing this Iron Maiden seems to be going through a lot of upheaval and I guess that's to be appreciated for several reasons. It's amazing to listen to something that the band recorded in their early days by comparison to how they sound now. In addition to featuring Paul Di'Anno this was the first album featuring guitarist, Adrian Smith. It was also the first album the band had produced by Martin Birch (who then produced all their studio albums up until Dickinson left in '93). It's nice to be able to appreciate where their sound for that era originated. It also continues to be testimony that it takes more than one person to carry a band. Iron Maiden has consistently demonstrated competency in this regard as they've been quite resilient in the face of line-up changes/adversity of this nature. Their large, impressive body of work is testimony to that at this point. This album actually has several good tracks as well. Personally, I like "Another Life" and "Drifters" a lot. It's also an interesting listen given that the band was early in their development and some of their early influencers (e.g., Scorpions?) may be heard more prominently in their sound here then in their later work. Fans of the band will probably appreciate this album and I would encourage picking it up as a result.
