Whole Dried Crickets (Unseasoned, 2 oz)

I heard about eating crickets on a Podcast, Stuff You Should Know. Curious, I read more about it online. Didn't take long to decide to try them. There was a moment of "WTF am I doing." That passed fairly quickly, and I'm sitting here right now eating a snack of these crickets with a bit of seasoning. They are extremely crunchy with a nice mild delicious taste.Tried them earlier sprinkled over cheese and crackers, great.So, now I'm a cricket eater I suppose. Thinking maybe a cricket omelet next, or some tacos!After two days I'm 95% beyond the initial gut reaction that says "gross" and am really enjoying them.Thanks for the great product Craft Crickets :)

The product comes in a bag just big enough to tell whether or not you are going to like crickets and just big enough to actually use them in some way if you do. People have complained about breakage before with these sort of products, but I don't really see what the big deal is; they're dehydrated insects, so of course some of them are going to break, and last I checked, potato chips don't always come whole either. They are a bit dry (obviously), and the "nutty" flavor is dead accurate. Great for those that want to see what regular crickets taste like before moving on to flavored varieties, or are just looking a nutty, sustainable snack with a small (but not bad) "buggy" punch.

Mouthful after mouthful of entomaphagic goodness! They look like something that would fall out of my kitchen light! Insects as food has much potential for humanity and world hunger, they're cheap, nutritious, easy to ingest, and could end animal cruelty by the meat market, which is why I bought them.I never could get used to the idea of eating insects though, but they taste just fine! Four stars only because they are overpriced.

Decided to try them on a whim after reading about their nutrition. I was surprised to how easy they are to eat on their own. Need to research more recipes, but I've tried them mixed into scrambled eggs and into yogurt. They add a nice crunch and a mild nutty flavor.

The ONLY place to by crickets.In a market that is not regulated at all. They actully have expiration dates, and YES that is important. Even dead insects can have a better taste and consitancy with less time between death and ingestion. Everybody that dares to try it loves it. Best snack ever

I have been using Craft Crickets for the last six months or so. I met them at the University of Oregon museum where they had a booth asking if we wanted to try a bug. They had lots of information on health and environmental impacts of eating insects and bugs. I started buying them so I can get the protein I need but from a better source that doesn't have such a staggering negative impact on the world (beef cows). I used their suggestions of grinding them up and making a substitute "flour" essentially. Now I use half flour and half cricket flour in my Cricket Granola bars. I pack them every day for my breakfast at work. They are delicious!Karen

THIS WAS OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE EATING DRIED CRICKETS, BUT MY SON AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM ONCE WE GOT OVER THE INITIAL FIRST BITES. CAN'T WAIT TO ORDER AGAIN WHEN IN STOCK!!!!!!!

Taste like crispy sunflower seeds, not bad at all. But really can't taste any garlic or paprika, maybe just a hint. Need salt. They are a good start to this kind of eating.
