perfect for dog beds UPDATE
My Great Danes' beds were getting a bit flat over the years - and didn't look very comfortable. I was concerned they could feel the cold floor underneath. I was hesitant to buy new beds, since they really love their beds and are perfect for each of their sleeping styles - and the covers were still in good condition. I decided, instead, to buy two inner sacks the same size as the beds and fill them with this foam. In the end, I can't say I saved a lot of money had I bought new beds but, more importantly, I felt the comfort level for my 'kids' was better than new beds for a similar cost. I am very happy with this product! I was hesitant to order this since many of the reviews were not very flattering - but I liked that it was made in the US (it was - according to the wrapper and box) and it was premium memory foam (it is, in my opinion - it appears brand new; just chopped up pieces from bed manufacturing, it appears to be). Yes, I think the ad states it is cream color - but maybe they changed their supplier; it is blue tones, as pictured. I ordered 15 pounds to fill two dog beds - and that it did, exactly. I did, however, keep the original (flattened) sacks that were in their beds - and added these sacks to them. Their beds are now better than new and my pups love them! Now for the technical stuff that most folks want to know: yes, it comes compressed and does start fluffing up as soon as you release the bag. It's good to have your sacks in the ready after you open the bag. Yes, it is a little messy - but I just had the sacks open like leaf bags and poured the foam into them; it wasn't too bad, actually - just a quick vacuum when done. At first there was only a minimal odor - I know folks always ask about that - but I could smell almost nothing; and what I could was actually pleasant. I decided to leave the filled sacks in a spare room to allow them to fully inflate. After leaving the sacks in the closed room for a few hours, that is when I detected the odor. It still wasn't overpowering or offensive for me, but I know some would have found it 'chemically'. I then left the door open to the room until the odor was almost gone - that took about 3 days. I then had to go out of town so I did not put the new sacks in my dogs' beds until almost 2 weeks later. Their beds are in my bedroom, and I have not detected any odor. Again, their beds are like new again - and they always spring right back when the 120+ pound dogs get up in the morning. No more cold-floor sleeping! :-) UPDATE one and half years later: I had to discard these fillers. Perhaps I should not have used the netting to bag them for my dog's beds, but I found that the odor of dog permeates into the foam - while it did not to the original fill. Since it can't be washed along with the covers there is no way to eliminate the odor. That's too bad - they really were great as fillers for their beds - even after a year, they plumped right back up after use. I'll not change the star rating, because it is not the fault of the foam. If not for dog beds, I still highly recommend. However, that said - if I were to do it again, I would try covering the netted bag with another cover that could be washed with the actual cover.

It works as intended, but only get what you need.
Really good, 5 star product. BUT just make sure you also get enough of other stuffing if making a bean bag or else youll just sink right to the ground. Nothing wrong with the product, but just make sure you do your research!

Expect to be thrilled!
Have you ever wanted to completely and utterly make a mess everywhere like a puppy that's still in house training? Well folks! This is your jam! These big bois come in vacuum sealed plastic bags and let me tell you they're not light or easy to wrangle from their boxes! You will definitely need a group of freed house elves like dobby to help you with this chaos in disguise as innocent bags of fluff. Once I got all four of them up to the staging area of the second floor living room... (Please note it's entirely carpeted here) to where my empty bean bag liner and cover were eagerly awaiting their intimate stuffing session with moi... Mistakes were made. First rule of stuffing bean bag chairs with precious shredded memory foam: Fill the liner first sans (without) whatever soft cuddly cover you purchased. Trust me on this. Memory foam clings. Second rule of stuffing your bean bag chair: Make sure you have a patient loving person helping you. Again, trust me on this. I'm lucky my husband isn't trying to annul our marriage ๐ Third rule of stuffing your bean bag chair (or whatever your stuffing honestly ๐) : Prepare for the worst mess you've ever encountered other than possibly being glitter bombed at an art studio. As soon as you release the seal and let air back into their squished packaging? It doubles to triples in size. (Get your mind out of the gutter!) Then you get the joy of trying to figure out The Best Wayโข๏ธ to fill your liner without making said mess. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ Yeah, get the vacuum before you start. You're gonna need it. Fourth rule of stuffing that glorious bean bag chair you wanted so badly for reading a book on a rainy day coziness feel: Trust the guides/google search on how much you actually need for stuffing said chair. Memory foam squishes back down when weight is applied. My tailbone bruise can attest to this. ๐๐๐ Needless to say once you get a groove in on stuffing whatever you need to stuff with this material you will be picking foam up for the next couple of days after you've sworn up and down you vacuumed that area twice already. But hey! I get my comfy book reading chair now. So thanks to the manufacturer for making this possible! โค๏ธ

Remember it expands, so extraxt only what you need from the bag and reclose it!
Does the job, but it's a near lifetime supply... I coukd have done with a quarter bag ;-)

Chunks of memory form not shredded
For me, the shredded memory foam has more chunks than anything. I used it to stuff a pillow but I fear in time the chunks will be more prominent than the littler pieces. The chunks are useable, but are not desirable for the smaller projects I like to do. Color is not a factor because I usually donโt see the inside of my project once finished. Itโs hard to hide the big chunks in the smaller pieces when you have more chunks than anything. I am not overly thrilled with the shredded memory foam.

Mix density for a great blend of comfort and support
Worked perfectly for my use, which was making awesome pillows. Mixed pieces of foam hardness and shapes worked well. Dense and supportive yet soft and cushey. A little expensive, but, worth it for something as important as a sleeping pillow. The bag contains enough for making 2-3 pillows depending on the size.

Horrible for bean bags
This is the worst high density premium grade memory foam Iโve ever used. It was intended for use in my bean bag chairs. I was hoping to find a filler that would not compact over time like the styrofoam beads do. One 10lb bag of foam should have been enough to loosely fill my bean bag. It was not. It even close. And the density was pathetic. Upon sitting on the bean bag there was virtually no resistance from the foam and I basically ended up lay flat on the floor. The chair was completely unable to hold itโs shape with this type of filler. Do not buy this foam for your bean bags, total waste of money. And most definitely NOT premium density foam.
