Does this device really draw 5v/4a. this isn't a combination widely supported in most usb chargers or power banks. does it have a pd chip?

I confirmed from pdf documentation that it is 5 v usb-c 4a. That should mean that you are right. It comes with its own cable and wall plug that will work. But, it should not work with most phone wall charging bricks. You would need one that was 4a. Same for battery bank. Would need a “usb-c pd power bank” to work & it would need to be a big enough wattage to put out 4a. I do not not the conversion. But a lot of the “ PD power” power banks say in the listing that the type c is 5v and whatever amperage. For instance I need 5v 2.5a to run my router and my PD Power power bank is 30 watts and puts out 5v 3a I think I needed at least 22.5 watts for 2.5a. So maybe check the bigger 65w usb c pd power, power banks. I am not sure about running it with a lapto. I’m not sure if that’s what the other answers meant they were doing. I do not know how much 5v Amperage the newer laptops and MacBooks put out.

I have a device which could connect via ethernet cable only, can I use this to connect to public WiFi and then share the internet to my device?

Can i set my own Captive Portal on this router ?

AXT1800 does not support this function currently, we will add it in the future.
