I bought these to use as inserts for a traveler's notebook. I've also purchased their A5 size. Overall, they run slightly smaller than other inserts. The paper is thick, no bleed through with most gel pens, unless you go over the area multiple times. I would prefer a smoother paper, but at this price, I'm happy with them, overall. My only complaint would be how much the first and last pages are glued to the cover. It basically makes them unusable for anything.

I bought this notebook based on reviews stating little shadowing and no bleed through when using certain types of pens. I use the notebook in a traveler's notebook setup and write with a Sharpie fine point pen.The notebook size is slightly wider and slightly longer than a Moleskine or Field Notes, so it gives you a little more room to write on, but it's still small enough to carry around.I am very happy with the notebook. There is very, very little shadowing. Out of all the major brands that I've tried, this is the best. Bear in mind the pen I use, though; I cannot vouch for other pens.I intend to buy more of these and continue to use them in my setup. I hope Northbooks keeps the paper quality high.I also like that these notebbooks are made in America, as this was the final point that convinced me to try this product.

I've been using Field Notes size notebooks for a while for some journaling, taking notes, lists, and keeping records. I like the size, but they are just a little too narrow, so I decided to try the A6 size notebooks and bought the Northbooks A6. I am very happy with my decision. The notebooks are very well made, attractive and comfortable to use, and reasonably priced. The cover is good quality and the paper works well, no bleedthrough. No frills or extra lines that are not needed. Clean design. I will buy again and would recommend.

Great books. I purchased A6 size and they’re just a smidgen smaller than the 105mm x 148mm, but not enough to make a huge difference. The craft cover is a little flimsy, but that’s fine as I usually cover mine with scrapbook papers to decorate.I used stamp pad Versa Ink and there is some ghosting. That’s to be expected. I’ve used my Sharpie no bleed pen and there is only just a small amount of ghosting. I also used a Papermate Flair Medium and it definitely had a bit of bleed. I used my fountain pen with Waterman Paris ink and there was only a bit of ghosting. I have not tried any gel inks as I don’t really care for those pens.All in all, I’d definitely buy these again. The dot grid is not obtrusive at all like some of the others. Even though I can easily make my own inserts, this is a much easier options. I still make my own inserts for my doodles and drawings as I like my pure white 32lb paper that I use.

This is the perfect little insert for my A6 TN, both dotted and plain. It had enough pages that I don't have to swap it out every 5 minutes, but isn't too thick to create too much bulk.That said, I'm all about the paper. It's not rho8dia paper, but it's surprisingly good at the price point, not too flimsy, with a fine tooth. There is just minimal ghosting and minimal feathering. If I have anything to criticize it's that it's staple bound, not stitched.All in all, great go to inserts at a very decent price, I'll surely buy again.

The perfect pocket size, it's about 5 x 4. The pages are a perfect text weight, nice feel and weight. Sharpie fine line and Pilot Precise pens don't show through. The dot grid is placed, not randomly, but lined up evenly on each page. This mean a lot- that attention to detail. Covers are heavier than card stock Kraft type paper. Overall quality at a really good price, just what I was looking for. Good communication from company too.

I was searching for something simple to fill out my new a6 Foxy Fix, and these books are perfect! I bought the lined 4-pack. The line spacing is just right, and I like the rounded edges of the books. The paper is a beautiful cream color, and I was so pleased to find that my writing doesn’t bleed or feather, even with thicker inks. I like the simplicity of the brown kraft covers- I can leave them as is or recover them if so inclined. I would prefer a sewn binding instead of staples, but I’m very pleased with this purchase and will buy again.

I bought these because I am moving my Bullet Journal from an A5 down to an A6 travelers notebook and I couldn't be happier! The paper is excellent quality, the size is "true A6" and not a skinny mostly a6 like a lot of others. I am using Stabilo & Staedtler fineliners as well as Zebra Mildliner highlighters with no bleed thru and very little, if any ghosting. These will be my go to Bujo notebook for as long as I'm in the TN format!
