BCH Paper Feed Gear Replacement for HP OfficeJet Pro 9012 9018 9020 9025 – Fix Printhead Carriage Jam, Grinding Noise, PF Gear Error & Printer Parts

The replacement gear for my HP Officejet Pro 9018e printer was a perfect fit and solved the problem with the jammed cartridge carriage. It appears that this is a common problem with this and similar models of this printer. It was not the easiest job to disassemble the printer but videos on YouTube helped. One does have to invest in a set of security bit Torx screwdrivers, and they need to be at least four inches long to reach the screws in some deep cavities. Once I replaced the broker gear with the new one, the cartridge carriage was movable again and the printer works well.

Fixed my printer! Easy to replace without having to take the printer apart at all. Just need to slide the printer cartridge over. See Youtube on how to do that when jammed.

Took my printer apart, not knowing what I was looking for. Found this gear part to be broken. I ordered a new one and now my printer works great!

The first one was broken, they sent a replacement right away.

They can break on you and ruin your printer.

This little gear is stupid expensive for what it is but it worked to fix my printer. I followed the instructions and put it in hot water for a few minutes before installing. I also put a very small drop of machine oil on the rod (not in instructions so hopefully will be ok but made installation easier). I was very careful to work the gear on very gently using a small precision screwdriver since others said theirs had broken during installation (maybe they didn't hear the gear in water as instructed?). It was a little tedious getting it on and matching up the gear teeth with the other gear but eventually got it on and everything aligned. Got printer back together and everything worked normally again. Super happy to not have to buy a new printer. Minus one star for the price. Everything else good but will update if gear breaks anytime soon like it did for some other reviewers.

Exactly the part that went back in my HP printer, part is very tiny and needs small hands or special tool to replace in printer. I am so thankful this was on Amazon, as without it my printer would not print at all!

Lo use para reparar una impresora HP y quedo de maravilla, se le atoro una hoja y colocaron mal un cartucho y se quedo atorado en carrito de impresión. La pieza le quedo de maravilla, viene con instrucciones para curarlo (colocarlo en agua caliente )y para que se pueda poner facil, lo anterior hace que la pieza quede un poco suave para colocarla ademas que en la instrucción indica que esto hace que la pieza quede mas resistente

with the help of the on line video , (no instructions supplied), this was quite ease to fit. for the price def worht it.. saved me buying a new printer

The size, fitment and gear teeth are perfect. I followed instructions and it went on just fine. No complaints so far.
