Sturdy, effective, well designed
Overall this is more or less perfect for me, but there are elements that won't suit everyone. Would expect this to have a very long service life. Hook / hanger: there is no adhesive on this; it stays up by negative pressure when two flat glossy surfaces meet. Glass, flat smooth plastic, large-ish tile with a shiny finish - should stay up indefinitely as long as surface is clean and dry when it is applied. Curved or textured surface - will probably fall immediately or soon after it's applied. If mounted to a suitable surface, it's more than strong enough to hold the scrubber. Handle: great texture, easy to grip if wet or soapy. Has some flex, so my initial concern that it might snap is now very low. Have had this happen with multiple rigid plastic handles I've used before. Angles are great and when hung up, the bend in the handle keeps the brush head tilted out so it won't drip down the wall. Maybe people with larger hands may think it's a little tricky to hold / control, but it think the flat profile would compensate for that. No problem for me. Brush head - octagonal shape looks good and softer silicone portion with the bristles ("fingers" is maybe the better word) wraps snugly around it. It appears the two may be bound together with an adhesive and not just tightly wrapped (I didn't try too hard to pry it off), but in any case, I don't see them separating with typical or hard use). The rigid flat extension of the handle has a tiny bit of flex, so works best on flat or rounded parts of the body. Brush will hold a lather well, but much more effectively with a shower gel / body wash / liquid soap. Bar soap is an option, but it's a little more work. It certainly generates some friction, but someone looking for a replacement for a loofah, plastic bristle brush, buff puff or similar products with real scrubbing "bite" against the skin may be a bit underwhelmed with this "scrubber." There is occasionally a "squeaky" sound running low on lather, if that's a concern. Could use for the back only or for most of what you'd otherwise use a washcloth for. I don't notice it trapping any hair (I don't have a lot to trap), and it rinses clean easily - as I would expect from a silicone product. No broken bristles or any sign of wear in the few weeks that I've been using it.

A well-made product that is simultaneously gentle and strong; adapting perfectly to the user!
I have now purchased 2 of these back scrubbers and 1 of the 2.0 body scrubbers. To borrow and paraphrase the classic Secret antiperspirant ad slogan ... this a product that is both "gentle enough for an 80-lbs elderly woman" and "durable enough for a 280-lb middle aged man". The first back scrubber, which I got in the Sand color, was for Mom. Still recovering from a crippling case of Shingles that lead to postherpetic neuralgia and allodynia, I was asked to find her a new back scrubber. After a lot of online research, I came across the TOOLETRIES brand. When I got it, she immediately recognized the high quality of the product and, after using it, agreed it was the perfect solution. Silicone kitchenware is already well-known for being durable and hygienic. And, most importantly in this case, the bristles' softness minimized any pain or discomfort. So, it was both easy and comfortable to use. It was exactly what she needed. And, this is why I decided to get one for myself. I already had a loofah-based back scrubber for years and, while usable, it had never really impressed me. The loofah itself has no real shape to it and just "gives" without any firmness under pressure. By comparison, I was very pleased with the black back and body scrubbers I got from TOOLETRIES. When I added pressure, I felt the bristles doing their job of actually scrubbing instead of just "giving". And, the material that this scrubber's handle is made out of easily accepting more pressure than the wooden handle of my loofah back scrubber. I didn't feel like I was going to break it. You really get to determine how much or how little pressure the bristles apply; making it suitable for a wind range of needs. The length and the shape of the handle was very good; being just as useable whether 5'1" or 5'10". As far as value ... yes, I would say it is very much worth it. In my case especially, when it's the difference of night ("just usable") and day ("works extremely well"), the very obvious improvement in the effectiveness of the product does make it a good deal. The only negative I experienced was that, while both the back scrubber and the body scrubber came with hangers for the shower wall, there was a clear difference in adhesive level between the two. The hanger that came with the body scrubber was not strong enough to stay on the shower wall. However, the hanger that came with the back scrubber was not only strong enough to support the weight of the back scrubber but also the body scrubber with it. Made me very glad I'd opted for the back scrubber with the hanger.

Scrubber works good! Hook kinda sucks
Unlike a lot of silicone brushes, this one does a pretty good job lathering up and holding its soap to give a good washing. Good length, could be a tid bit longer, but not enough to really complain. Keep in mind I bought the product for the scrubber, the hook was a bonus. Draw back is that the hook only sticks on surfaces that are COMPLETELY FLAT. So if your shower wall is like many’s which have any sort of bumps or rivets, no matter how deep, it won’t stick. If you have a slide door, stainless steel walls, all glass, etc etc it probably will work but may still slide down due to the wait of the scrubber.

Great Back and Body Scrubber
As a guy I was looking for a back and body scrubber that had a little bit more abrasion then a typical store-brought loofa. I came across this Tooletries silicone back scrubber, which did the trick. The soft bristle not only get that extra dirt and grime off my back, but my body as well. Its worth the price and even comes with a attachable hook so you can stick it anywhere in the shower to hold the brush as well.

The scrubber is great, the hook sucks but the skin on your back will thank you for using this
Update 10/5/2022: despite the hook issues I'm changing my rating to 5 stars from 4. The health of the skin on my back has improved so drastically since switching to this from a regular bristled back brush. I used to get a lot of acne on my shoulders and in spots on my back I couldn't reach. Now I rarely have any acne on my back. I highly recommend this product! I love the scrubber but I'm annoyed that the hook doesn't work well at all. It holds for 15 minutes or so and then falls to the shower floor. And to think the junk hook is something they charge $10 or so for if you buy it separately... Luckily I can hang it from my shower curtain hooks.

Quality brush
The brush takes a little getting used to as it is not the traditional bristles. However, I like the exfoliating that it does and it holds up very well. People complained that the holder didnt stay on, and for matt finished tiles, which I have, it doesn't stick at all. Here is a tip, I mounted it with clear silicone caulking. This caulking holds better than any glue and it is waterproof.

Perfect back brush
This didn't look much in the photos, but it's really a perfect back brush. The silicone bristles are very soft and the whole thing is entirely waterproof and unaffected by water in the way that anything wooden is.

Bonne brosse!
Belle ergonomie, assez longue, légère. Les poils sont doux.

It works. It’s a back scrubber.
Works as described. The silicone is much easier to keep clean and exfoliating is a lot better on skin.
