I recommend you start with 1 and move forwards, but this particular book has helped me to share and exchange thoughts with another friend who was shocked (in the best of ways) that I had more advanced philosophical understandings from such a seemingly unknown source (i.e. he's a scientist, but is fascinated by spirituality). But the writing is clear and there's no mumbo-jumbo in this book. It's clear, concise and to-the-point, yet also detailed. Included in this book is not only what to do, but crucially, how long to do the practices for, how to self-pace and ramp up as your body gets more used to the practices, grounding techniques, and also some higher-level practices around integrating energy work and awareness meditation and why that's important.All in all, this appears to be an excellent book (much better than the first in the series), and I wish it had been around years ago. I'm so pleased this information is finally coming out. It's like yoga is finally maturing in the West - some people now seem to truely understand the enlightenment process and in doing so have been able to strip away the dogma, supersition and extraneous practices. Well worth a read for any serious aspirant.** Update **After having tried the practices in this book I can only say this is 100% the Real McCoy. After only several days practicing I've finally felt what I've been trying to feel for years. The combination of Kriya Supreme Fire followed by Maha Bandha with breath retention is phenomenal. Some of the terminology could be simpler. Read a particular chapter which talked about waking up in the morning and it made no sense.
