Love this reel! It works great, casts amazing, and reels in smooth

Paired this 1000 reel with an OKUMA 6'6" rod. Man does it cast nice. Line went out nice and clean. I haven't had a reel that has retrieved this smoothly and balanced ever. Spooled reel with 6lb. mono for testing. With only a light weighted bobber, it went about 40+ yards! Last month I also picked up a couple of different Kastking spinning reels (2000). This Sougayilang is a better in my opinion. Smoothness of operation and casting distance. The only thing I don't care for is the round handle, I've never had one like this, just feels awkward in me hand. I've been trout fishing for 55+ years, and this would be my favorite reel so far. Don't tell the wife. but I might get a few more of these! Good quality and good price.

I was surprised by how well this reel performs. Its smooth, durable for being ultra light weight, and looks good. Well worth the money.

Nice entry level reel. Super smooth for an inexpensive item. Liked the first enough to buy a second in a different size. Kids and landed a number of summer flounder on these and some 5 lb Bluefish and schoolie stripers all with no issues at all. Read some negative reviews and even some videos about damaging effects of saltwater which is very a true possibility. So when I received mine I went over a few areas with a light coating of reel grease BEFORE using in harsh salt environment and no visible rust or corrosion seen so far. 8 out of 10 times I rinse all of my reels with fresh water. I have some higher end gear that I love but not turning them over to kids yet until their a bit more seasoned. Tight lines

This is a really nice reel. It feels smooth, has a relatively smooth drag, and it looks and feels very well made. And despite all this, the cost was quite low. I've spent far more on reels, but I don't know that I've ever received this kind of value for the money spent. I bought the XY1000 reel. I paired it with a 6' 6" ultralight rod, intending to use it for crappies. It works great for that and balances well. As you can see in the picture, an occasional bass joins the party! And the reel's drag was up to the challenge for bigger fish like this on 4 lb line. The size of the reel is good for this application... I like to "feather" the line with my index finger during the cast, and this reel's size makes that convenient. As a side note, I REALLY like the hexagon cutout pattern on the side of the spool. I want my reels to function great and care less about the looks, but it's fun to have one that works great and looks cool, too. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. For the ratings below... Light weight: It balances well on my rod so the weight is good for me. Value is off the charts and I'd give that 6 stars if I could. Durability: So far so good. I've caught many fish on this reel over ~3 months and it's been perfect so far.

great for 3 years bought 2 in fact. then the screw holding the bail and ball bearings in place shot everywhere, mostly out of the boat into the lake. The other one did the exact same thing the next day. These reels are really smooth and would like to find parts to fix the ones I have. just not sure where to look. 5 stars before these bail springs came off and 0 stars after.

I own 3 of these in different sizes. Great reels for the money. The extra spool is awesome to have too. Easily let's me go from braid to mono if necessary. The main spool is chrome though, so might wanna spray paint it if going for ultimate stealth mode from the shore on fresh water.

I purchased this item for my best friend who just started out in his newly loved hobby. I purchased the XY1000 and he is just loving it. The weight is just right for the size of the fishing reel. It is also beautifully designed and colored. It is very easy to use and it gave him better chances of catching a fish. The item is the same as in the description box and the image is almost identical to the fishing reel that will be delivered to your door. I am happy that my best friend is happy. Je pêche depuis 40 ans en pratiquant absolument toutes les pêches possibles: coup à la grande canne, anglaise, feeder, leurres, vif en utilisant du matériel à carpe, carpe, mouche et streamer brochet, tirette, vertical, etc... j'aime le beau et bon matériel. J'ai dû me re équiper entièrement depuis avril suite à un divorce ou madame a dis avoir brûlé tout mon matos (20.000€ de matériel brulé, mais oui, sur le bon coin, bref). Pour la pêche au leurre et comme depuis 30 ans e n'achètes que des moulinets Shimano ou Daiwa, Vivareli auto pour la mouche. Suite à une de mes nombreuses cessions "achat compulsif", voyant le prix de ce magnifique moulinet aux détails époustouflant sur le papier à ce prix, j'ai de suite comlandé. Honnêtement, j'ai passé commande et comme souvent, ça ne correspond en rien à la présentation et termine à la poubelle, pas de temps a perdre pour renvoyer. Pas sur ce coup la les amis, je reste poliment scotché sur le c..u..l.. j'ai commandé le 4000 pour remplacer mon daiwa neuf (La fabrication Daiwa est devenue catastrophique avec jeux dans la manivelle, frein pourri, enroulage de tresse avec d'énorme boursouflure, decevant au possible). Ce moulinet magnifique, léger, tournant telle une horloge de précision, un équilibre parfait valant largement un Shimano à 4 fois le prix et enterrant mon Daiwa tout neuf pourtant. Utilisant énormément de moulinets spinner et casting, j'ai investi dans un système permettant le remplissage des bobines sans perruques acheté sur Amazon: "QWORK enrouleur de ligne à 21€, qui m'a modernisé de 20 ans tellement c'est pratique avec un remplissage de bobine parfait (je recommande aussi). En revenant au moulinet, le prix est démesurant bas en rapport a la qualité de fabrication, a la douceur de fonctionnement, du frein, de la manivelle avec une grosse boule recouverte en mousse agréable au possible a pécher. La surprise de l'année, ce type de moulinet se trouve sur le marché dans les grandes marques de luxe haut de gamme a 250€ en faisant même mieux, incroyable. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Par contre bien tenir compte des tailles qui, me concernant ne comprend pas les petits modèles 2000 et 1000 bien trop minuscules a mon humble avis ou le 2000 pour l'ultra léger, mais le 1000 est un jouet dont je ne connaissait même pas l'existence. Pour la pêche aux leurres j'ai comme toujours, commandé un 4000 et vue la qualite générale très haut de gamme, je vais en recommander 2 en 3000 pour mes cannes Anglaise et feeder pour remplacer mes Shimano (neufs) sans états d'âmes, c'est vous dire le gros kiff que de pécher avec cette petite merveille de technologie qui plus est, d'une beauté rare, ce qui ne gâche rien. Il n'y a pas de mal a pécher avec du très jolie matériel efficace bien entendu. Je conseille plus que vivement. De plus, il est livré avec une deuxième bobine graphite, identique à celle en aluminium (ajouré tout autour pour le refroidissement du frein, le gain de poids permettant de corriger l'inertie qui déséquilibre de nombreux moulinets, vous savez cette, cette effet de va et viens de tout le boulinet au rembobinage si désagréable. La vous tenez le moulinet a 2 doigts et moulinez vite, il ne bouge pas, équilibre digne des plus grands. Si vous l'achete et en êtes mécontent, n'hésitez pas a me pourrir en retour sachant que vous serez ravis, surtout a un prix "donné". La surprise de l'année me concernant, une pépite". Éclatez vous au bord de l'eau, profitez de la vie en prenant soin de vous et foncez, aucuns risques de déception sur ce moulin, bonne pêche les amitiés halieutique à toutes et tous, bon été plein de surprises au bord de l'eau.
