This history book covers all the major historical event topics. It also includes maps, exercises, homework assignments, and nice illustrations. It is perfect for kids who love history or homeschooled kids who need extra help.

I bought this looking to refresh my world history knowledge since it's been so long since I've studied it. This book is perfect for that goal. Its design is colorful, the pages offer useful highlights and definitions, and more! Couldn't be happier. While not necessarily a negative of the book, I sort of wish they provided a pronunciation guide to some of the contents, as of course this book references many different cultures and individuals throughout history, so be ready to look that up on your own. Note: some people are giving this book negative reviews. It has a left-leaning, pro science perspective. So if that's off-putting to you, look elsewhere.

A good book for children to learn history！

Using this to supplement homeschooling my kiddo. Great quizzes included and very fun to read.

This book is well-written and includes all of the major historical events that you would expect to be included. However, the cover of first book that I received had torn corners, pages were folded, and it was just generally dirty. Amazon quickly replaced it, and the new book is much better. It does have a crease along the bottom cover, but that is much better compared to the first.

Great book. Attractive enough to make you want to pick it up and read it. The graphics are colorful, the font is clear, and the highlights and titles are in bold print. Chapters are color coded. Check Your Knowledge questions and answer page included. Contents list all the units and it's coverage. What makes this book stand out from all the others is that it includes all the important information broken down in easy to understand text and simple to read maps. It's all you need to know and that's it. There are a total of 5 subjects in this series: they include Math, Science, English Language Arts, World History, American History in the series and we have all of them. This is definitely worth the investment. Parents will find this book and series simple to explain to your child and/or read with them. Nothing complicated. Buy this book and the others in the series. I highly recommend it.

Teaches a well selected part of history. Not too much detail, but still enough to get an idea about the era. Some isn't correct, but it's still a great book, because it gives a well written overview of the history of the world in different countries. Great drawings.

Never trust an amazon review. They delete negative reviews.
