I remember reading the same Calvin and Hobbes book over and over as a child whenever I stayed at my grandmother's, so as soon as I remembered that childhood memory, I knew I had to buy more. I remember enjoying these comics so much, laughing at jokes I didn't understand at the time, and I knew that I needed to grab hold of more of them, something I could not do at my young age. What I love: I love how timeless and hilarious these jokes are! I didn't understand them when I was younger, and I remember pulling out the dictionary when I didn't know certain words, so I learned a bit for my young age. If you have never heard of these comics, you NEED to get this book! Yes, it's a comic, but to me, it's funnier than the Peanuts. I know lots of people disagree with me, but there's something sentimental and original about these comics. It couldn't hurt to try! Also, this book is cheaper here than in Barnes and Noble, so I totally recommend getting it here. Bill Watterson was a genius at his craft; you won't regret buying this book, especially if it's your first Calvin and Hobbes book. What I don't love: There is nothing that I don't love! Conclusion: If you have a young child starting to read, this is awesome. If you used to read these comics, get them again! It'll be like walking down memory lane; just do it, how could you regret rereading jokes that you probably have forgotten? The jokes are timeless, the vocabulary makes it interesting, and the jokes are hilarious. For new and old readers alike, if you don't own this book, you need to!

Excellent purchases for grand children that love reading and humor for parents and grand parents!!
Loved Calvin and Hobbes in the movies and love the books to pass on to my grand children. Humor is excellent. Books though are very high priced, but since writer is no more we can understand it. Will continue for next generations!!

It's my favorite comic of all time!
Calvin has the greatest imagination of any comic book character in the world. The adventures he shares with his best friend, Hobbes, are second to none!

Classic Calvin and Hobbes humor that never gets old
I got this for my nephew, and he really enjoyed it. The stories are funny, creative, and full of imagination, with Calvin always getting into some kind of wild situation. The humor is smart but still easy for kids to understand, and the illustrations make it even more fun to read. A great gift that keeps kids entertained and actually excited to read.

Good, but all black and white
I was hoping for color -- giving it as a gift. However, other than it being all black and white, it is what you would expect and fun to read.

Calvin and Hobbes is good for the soul
I read this comic book to meet one of my reading challenges, but I always enjoyed reading the Calvin and Hobbes comic in the paper when I was young. Reading this book took me back to my childhood and all the antics of the characters made me smile frequently. I picked this particular book because the weather is turning cold and it seemed a perfect time for snow goons. Calvin and Hobbes will put a smile on your face even if comic books are not your regular book of choice.

Can't stop laughing!
I haven't laughed so much in years! I never paid much attention to the comics in the papers, but when I decided to buy one of the ebooks of Calvin and HobbesI couldn't get enough of them. I have bought all the ebooks available for Calvin and Hobbes and I am looking forward to getting some of the paper back books in the post soon as well. Pure joy is about the only way to describe the feeling when reading these books. Calvin is the ultimate 6 year old and either does all the stuff that we did as kids, or does all the things we wanted to do as kids. Do yourself a favor and read Calvin and Hobbes...you'll be a better person for it. :)

英会話の先生に勧められて読みました。 オーソドックスな４コマ、または８コマの漫画ですがとても面白いです。 主人公は６歳の少年ですが、子供らしい日常会話をするかと思えば大人びた難しい単語を口にしたり、 笑いながら様々なランクの表現が身につきます！ 作者が商業主義を嫌ったためにキャラクター商品などはなく知名度は低いですが、 大人が漫画で英語を学ぶのには最適な作品です。
