If you have tiny bottom feeders like loach, then these are perfect. Snails love'em too! They are very easy to use.The color is exactly as pictured.It seems to be very good quality, and after the Alder cone incident, what fish remain Seem to be in good health and still love these. It is highly edible for smaller bottom feeders! (I purchased the amazon choice for Alder cones, so I could get some tannin in my tanks , and it released something tea colored , but it killed absolutely everything in all of my tanks , except for one. I had 3 tanks set up with over 30 different fish. And at least 80 candy shrimp. All dead because of the cones.
