Hunger for Words Talking Pet Doorbell

I recently purchased a recordable dog button specifically for letting my dog signal when he wants to go outside, and I couldn’t be happier with it! The sound quality is excellent, and the recording feature is easy to use. Took 30 seconds so record, and you’re all set. The button is sturdy and has a non-slip base, making it perfect for enthusiastic paws. It also comes with a velcro command strip to mount on the wall. I love how responsive it is; my dog learned to use it in no time! It’s a great way for him to communicate his needs, and it has definitely made our outdoor routine smoother. If you’re looking for a reliable and engaging way for your dog to express when they want to go outside, this recordable button is a must-have! And you cannot beat the price.

I can’t believe this button was less than $10. It is top quality. Also super durable as my dog just loves to hit it over and over when I take too long to get to the door. It is very functional and I love how it gives my pup a “voice” so he can tell us what he needs. It uses two command like adhesive strips to stick to the wall and is very easy to remove if you need to change batteries or re-record the message. The noise level is perfect and I can hear him hit the button from the second level of my home. We use it as a potty button so being able to hear it is a must. 10/10 would recommend and I even think I’ll be buying a few more so we can teach him some other phrases to use.

I got this in the mail fairly quick and was easy to use. The instructions made it easy to use and install on our door. My only issue is that if you decide to record your own voice, the sound quality isn’t so great and sounds a bit staticky. But other than that, it works well and does the job for a cheap price.

After having this since June of 2024, I can attest that the build and durability has held up! Compared to the starter buttons, the doorbell has kept up with a good volume, great durability & functionality even when my dog's smacked it hard a few times out of frustration of my dad maybe not reacting to her (if i'm unable to take her out right away) and it was SUPER easy for both her and I to use. I honestly just started with recording my voice instead of the doorbell sound, Everytime I went out specifically to take her to potty (not just go outside) I'd press the button and walk outside. I'd encourage her everytime she wanted to interact with it and within the same week she was using it consistently. Even if sometimes her button usage tempers out she continues to use this one everyday. This is SUPER helpful, as when I first got her last year in February I realized she'd just stand at the door and stare at you (or whine) which isn't super visible in the doorway if its dark or you're not looking. She's a quiet dog in general and had to learn to come get you instead of just standing unnoticed. This button has helped meet her needs and make sure she isn't ignored. I keep this closer to the doorway but plan to search for a ringer with two doorbells that ring throughout the house so I can always hear her even when we move into a bigger space. Worth the investment especially if you want to use more buttons!

I would agree with other reviews that it's muffled instead of clear (and I tried different distances, so that's irrelevant.) Also, harder to push for my little puppies than I would like. It's cute with the little paw on it, I will say that. And it works so that's something. Will keep.

Our stubborn poodle is a creature of habit. It was a little hard to train her as a pup to ring hanging bells, but once she got it-- it was great. She's a scary cat standard poodle. She is also super gentle and would ring it so soft I could hardly hear it. Also, manly man likes to open and shut things very hard, and the hanging bell would swing and get caught in between the door which wrecked my wood trim. So 2.5 years in, I come across this battery operated bell button. When I say creature of habit, for instance, she will only go outside if she is standing on your right. She will only go up the steps a certain way. So, yes, she did resist this new bell system. We never had an accident though. I did not want to train her with treats like I did the hanging bells because sometimes she wants to go outside and sometimes she just wants a treat. So over a period of 2 weeks (not working hours a day or anything), if she went and hovered near the door & I knew she wanted to go outside--If she wouldn't ring the bell, I would pick up her Paw and do it for her. If it had been a while since she had hovered at the door, to avoid an accident, I would take her to the door and ring the bell with her paw. I found that having it on a rug and beside trash bin helps it to stabilize. If it hops up or flips over it scared her, especially in beginning. Got a 2nd one for RV come summer. Easy to throw in your purse if you're home to visit another home. Haven't switched batteries for over a month when we got it. Very happy with purchase.

As the title says, it came with stripped screws, so I’m unable to open the back to put batteries in.

I bought this for my Chihuahua mix about a year and a half ago and it's still holding up well. It's easy to use a good size for her, sound quality is good. I'm so glad I got it for her so she can tell me when she needs to go outside. I recorded just the word "potty" on it instead of using the bell. I put it on the floor close to the door we use to take her outside to potty and I can hear it from other rooms in the house. I tried putting it on the wall but she wouldn't use it when I had it there and it was easier to train her on it with it on the floor. I highly recommend it.

Estoy muy contenta con esta compra para mi perrita Kloe 🐶. Lo que más me gusta es que puedes grabar tu propia voz, así tu mascota escucha una voz familiar cuando recibe su premio. Me parece una idea genial porque ayuda a que estén más atentos y motivados. Es muy fácil de usar, funciona perfectamente y además hace que los momentos de recompensa sean más divertidos. Kloe aprendió enseguida cómo utilizarlo y se emociona cada vez que lo oye. Sin duda, una compra muy recomendable para quienes quieren estimular a sus mascotas y pasar un buen rato con ellas. 💖🐾
