It doesn’t. This is just like a blender. It doesn’t become slushy at all. I even used different types of ice.

Can you adjust the size of the crushed ice

The best way that I can answer this question is the amount of ice that you add to the mixture determines how "slushy" the solution will be. My suggestion would be to start with a liberal amount of ice and start the machine. If after mixing, you want the mixture to be "slushier", you can easily add more ice. It does not matter if you add cubes or crushed ice to the machine. Once you lock and start the machine, it does all of the work.
