Memory follows Alex Lewis (Liam Neeson), an expert assassin with a reputation for discreet precision. Caught in a moral quagmire, Alex refuses to complete a job that violates his code and must quickly hunt down and kill the people who hired him before they and FBI agent Vincent Serra (Guy Pearce) find him first. Alex is built for revenge but, with a memory that is beginning to falter, he is forced to question his every action, blurring the line between right and wrong. Review: Good Film - Good Film Review: GOOD ACTION THRILLER - This one seemingly not rated highly by critics was in my opinion the best of recent 'Liam Neeson' movies in recent times, I enjoyed it, found it held my interest from start to finish. Alex Lewis (Neeson) is an efficient contract killer who these days with the onset of early onstage Alzheimer', in fact to remember locations he has to write messages on his arm. He feels he wants to retire, but, his employer won't let him, he is given a task of killing two people but discovering one to be a 13-year-old girl who has suffered misuse/abuse he draws the line, he'll not kill one so young The teen had earlier been part of an F.B.I investigation into child prostitution lead by agent Vincent Serra (Guy Pearce) who had tried to help young Beatriz. When the teen is killed by another, the paths of the F.B.I agent and Alex were always destined to collide as Lewis in anger of the teens killing sets out on a deadly revenge mission to bring down those responsible. A good watch in my view, give it a spin.

One of the best action flicks in Neeson's recent output
I enjoyed it far more than I expected. Within Liam Neeson's recent action output, it easily ranks among his strongest efforts. It feels far more grounded and grim than Blacklight, which suffered from formulaic writing, shallow characters, and implausible choices and if felt, well, dumb. ***SPOILERS AHEAD*** What struck me most about 'Memory' is its rawness. It's a violent film, and Neeson's character is far darker than usual. He isn't the usual 'good-hearted tough guy'. He's quite nasty here, a morally compromised man clinging to a single boundary he refuses to cross, also due to his family history. That, together with his terminal illness, really sets him on a path of destruction, including his own eventually. It's one of those I'll revisit.
