Pelican Marine Waterproof Phone Pouch (XL) - Stealth Black

I wanted to test this floating waterproof case so we filled up a bucket of water and put my phone in the bucket with the case on. This case floats and there was no water intrusion. I am very pleased with this case. I have a heavy phone (an iPhone 14 Pro Max) but this worked perfectly keeping my phone afloat. My phone fits inside with its case still on and has room to spare. I like that it’s not such a tight fit that it’s hard to get my phone out. I am very happy with this purchase. We spend a lot of time boating and kayaking so it was important for me to have a reliable case for out on the water.

Used this pouch on a trip to cancun. We spent a lot of time in the water. Snorkeling, swimming in a cenote and pool parties. The audio surprisingly was good. The inside of the pouch never fogged up and affected video quality. The only thing it didn't do great was under water, my phone wouldn't respond to the touch screen. I have a Samsung S22 ultra. My son had the same issue with his iPhone 13 max. The under water recording was a hit and miss. Also keep in mind this thing is designed to float up naturally. If you let it to, it will float up. I have purchased many water proof cases and pouches. This one is definitely great quality. Phones went in and out of the pouch constantly and the pouches show no tares. I recommend it if you are going on a great adventure. For a Vegas pool you might be ok with the cheaper alternatives offered on Amazon. I also had plenty of room to put money, room card, ID and a credit card in their.

Prepare yourself because this case is HUGE, but that's what the latest "tall" phone models require. I have a Lenovo Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 phone, which is a very "tall" phone and my usual waterproof case no longer fit once I upgraded from my previous phone (Moto G Stylus 2020). You can't fully trust these types of cases as "waterproof". They're not really supposed to be used for diving/snorkeling, etc. They can basically be trusted for a quick fall in the water, fishing, heavy rain/splashing, etc. The reason I rated the fingerprint reader as 2/5 stars is because the fingerprint reader on my phone is built-in to the power button on the side of the phone which is barely accessible when in this case. Thankfully, my phone offers facial recognition. Otherwise it works great for my needs (kayak fishing), takes great pictures, and protects the phone well. Again, it's gigantic, but there's just no getting around that.

Haven’t put it in water; however, it appears to be well made. Certainly would fit a variety of cell phone sizes.

It's very secure, kept my phone dry. But be careful of clamps. I got the skin from my finger caught in one and it was very difficult to re-open with just one hand and was very painful. Took days for my skin to heal.

Even though the strap is much too short, I still gave this bag a 5. It worked very well during my recent fishing trip, and holds my Samsung phone, ID, cash, and license. Great product! P.S. My wife sewed an adjustable strap for me using the clasp on the supplied strap.

Bought this for a lazy river/camping trip and it worked very well for when I fell off of my tube. There wasn’t a single drop of water in the case. I didn’t test to see if it actually floats but I kept it around my neck the entire time so I wasn’t too worried. The touch screen worked as well as it can considering the plastic is pretty thick. I’d rather have it a little harder to use than leaking water though so I didn’t mind.

Fits variety of phone sizes, they actually do keep water out and do float. Hitting buttons underwater can be tricky and takes practice, but can still get it to work.

Worked fine, always reluctant with these things but it survived me and my clumsiness in a water fall. No leaking, it floats, I still hold the strap because I’m paranoid
