Does the door stay closed or can a strong gust from the AC push it open?

If the door isn't snug and secure enough, pressure changes from air conditioners and other doors/windows being opened might possibly cause the door with the padded door latch cover to open. I have really enjoyed mine, they have lasted me a long time. Now that my kids are older, I use one on our heavy garage door so that we can open it with a mere push when our arms are too full to use the doorknob.

Do these quite a door with a spring closing hinge? It's a full sized door to the garage.

Hi they really help with any noise that would accrue at the door lock area. It will not allow the door to securely latch so a child could push it open. My husband is a door slammer and I have them on all doors but doors that go to the outside.
