do i have to covert it to propane and how

Out of the box, I found the propane flame to be way to small. I switched to the included jet nozzles (which had a bigger orifice) and I got a nice flame. The conversion is trivially easy. If you can remove and replace a bolt with an included socket wrench, you can do this.
