To sum it up these shoes checked all my boxes. They are comfortable, light, good for lots of walking, and look stylish. I wanted something that looked good also because I work around office people. Plus I’m a pretty swagged out guy. I will say I have never really tested the integrity of the toe by dropping anything heavy on them. I just got safety toes because I’m required to. But every now and then I kick something or stub my toe and I don’t feel a thing. I'm a type 1 diabetic so I've got neuropathy too. I'm a CNC Machinist and work 10-12hrs a day 6 days a week. I've worn new balance, Merrell and wolverine in safety toed shoes. New balance WAS the most comfortable but aren't in the same class as these Pumas. And they put Merrell and wolverine to shame. Out of the box I was amazed! Very very comfortable. So comfortable I'm switching running shoes to puma too. P I would give five stars but the tongue isn't connected to the shoe which is a must for Machinists and they are small even though I ordered a half size bigger. I read the reviews where people said get a whole size larger but they do not offer a half. They have great traction on oil and the insoles are really comfortable. I ordered orthotic insoles and tried them but they aren't any better. They look sweet too. I got a pair of black/black new balance 990v4 a couple of weeks ago and i would wear these black pumas over those.
