Review: Nice switch. - So far so good. Review: Great for basic managed switch. - Have a small business and I was usually using an unmanaged switch and decided to ‘switch’ to this for a little more control. I didn’t want to pay monthly charges for a managed switch, so this really fit the bill. Now, I’ve worked with big companies, and this switch wouldn’t cut the mustard. It’s a basic managed switch. So if you are looking for enterprise level, avoid this. However, if you are a small business or home user who wants a little control and stats over your network, then this is your solution. Overall, great as a next step over unmanaged switches. I hope this review was helpful! ## Features - The Aruba Instant On 1830 48G 4SFP Switch is an affordable smart managed Layer 2 switch designed for small businesses - fast set-up easy management security you can trust - Protect your network from unauthorized access with Global Storm Control TPM (Trusted Platform module) based security and VLANs - Ports: 52 active ports | 48x Gigabit 10/100/1000 4x 1G SFP | 1G fiber-capable SFP slots | Entry-level future-proof switch ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09NN5RSSS | | Brand | Hewlett Packard Enterprise | | Built-In Media | Instant On 1830 48G 4SFP Switch | | Case Material Type | Metal | | Color | black | | Colour | black | | Compatible Devices | Desktop | | Compatible devices | Desktop | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 12 Reviews | | Data Transfer Rate | 77.37 Megabits Per Second | | Included components | Instant On 1830 48G 4SFP Switch | | Interface | RJ45, Uplink Port | | Item Weight | 4.9 kg | | Item weight | 4.9 kg | | Manufacturer | Aruba a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company | | Maximum Power | 17.7 Watts | | Mfr Part Number | JL814A#ABA | | Model Number | JL814A#ABA | | Number of Ports | 48 | | Number of ports | 48 | | Platform | Not Machine Specific | | Switch Type | Managed | | UPC | 190017519777 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upper Temperature Rating | 70 Degrees Celsius | | Warranty Description | limited lifetime | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Hewlett Packard Enterprise - **Colour:** black - **Compatible devices:** Desktop - **Included components:** Instant On 1830 48G 4SFP Switch - **Number of ports:** 48 ## Images ![Aruba a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company Instant On 1830 48-Port Gb Smart Switch - 48x 1G | 4X SFP | US Cord (JL814A#ABA) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31nV2ZXwFzL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice switch. *by J***. on 21 June 2024* So far so good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for basic managed switch. *by M***K on 5 March 2023* Have a small business and I was usually using an unmanaged switch and decided to ‘switch’ to this for a little more control.
