This piece comes with two sisal poles that your cat can use as a scratching post, or to satiate his innate urge to climb. Attached to the top of the poles is a shelf with a double layer of fabric. The burlap allows the cat to dig in with his claws and climb up safely, while the canvas underneath allows for added durability. There are three levels of canvas raceways which not only make it easy for your cat to get down from the poles, but also provide excellent lounging areas. The bottom raceway is attached to an escape hatch that leads to a ladder, making it easy for your cat to get on and off this activity center. This interactive piece will enrich your cat's life from playtime, to nap time. The Catastrophic Creations Roman Cat Fort is made from solid pine, canvas, PVC and sisal rope. Our products are handcrafted in the USA. This piece comes assembled, but requires mounting on a wall. It is mounted among four wall studs, spaced 16" apart. Dimensions: Total Width: 54" Total Height: 54" Depth: 11"All of the brackets come attached for easy installation. Our furniture also comes with all necessary screws and drywall anchors to install into studs. If your studs are spaced differently or you do not want to use studs, you can also mount the shelving up using 1/8" x 2" Toggle Bolts to sturdily mount our shelving into drywall. These Toggle Bolts would need to be separately purchased. *Please note: This can be a difficult piece to mount. You'll want to have an extra person with you to hold the shelves while you mount the poles.
