Discovering "Emmer" a golden organic ancient grain.
I recently researched and discovered more about ancient grains. Then I bought the Organic Emmer Whole Grain (1 lb bag) from Bluebird Grain Farms on Amazon, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This was my first time milling emmer, and the flour produced a delicious loaf of ancient-style bread. The flavor was rich, hearty, and truly unique compared to modern wheat. Tastes great!
I ground this in a flour mill and used it for a bread recipe. It turned out delicious! 1 lb is a convenient bag size - every time I buy grains in larger sizes, I rarely use it all before it expires. This is just right, and a good price.

So Satisfying
This grain is just downright good. It's chewy and substantial and really has replaced my desire to reach for quinoa which I equate more to rice than this big grain. I've bought this brand more than once now and am satisfied with the product but do think the price is kind of high (especially in comparison to other rice and quinoa), but I think the quality is worth it. Because it is unpearled it takes forever to cook. Definitely need to take that into consideration with recipes, but can do.

Tasty all-purpose Emmer
Excellent flavor, and nice clean grains. I just soak it in filtered water for an hour or two and it reduces cooking time substantially - cook until still slightly al dente. Great in soups and cold in salads, and makes delicious flour. Wish it came in larger size for a bit of cost savings.

Great product and tastes great. Nice and good chew. The long cook, 30-35 minutes, keeps all the nutrients better than buying the quick cook version. It is nice and dense, perfect bite, a good product.

Had tiny live bugs in it.
Ordered 2 bags. One had bugs, the other bag was open and spilling into shipping box. There is "no return" for this product as it is a food item.
