I read every review in reference to sizing and saw so many that said it runs large. I was about 155lbs and 5'7 when I ordered this. I saw people in that specific height weight range say they ordered small and it fit perfectly, lol. It was so small for me. So I ordered the next size up (medium), and it was still small but I ended up keeping that size. I was wearing it as a swim suit so I didn't mind if it fit snugly, but it did fit tight on my belly and not in a way wear it sucks it in. Basically you could easily tell I had a pouch. I didn't feel like returning it for a second time. It was before a vacation and I didn't want to risk not having it. The design and the way it looks is awesome. I really liked it a lot. If I could go back, I'd get a large. It would've given me growing room as my weight fluctuates 5lbs or so. Currently I'm 160lbs, and I haven't tried to put this swim shirt back on. I have no doubt that my pouch will look a lot worse. In case it helps anyone, I have B cups so kind of small chest. I've always carried any weight gain in my upper arms, abdomen, butt, and thighs. This is great for covering up my upper arms as well. It has a way of making your figure look flattering.

Sun protection is a big deal to me but I also hate to look totally unkempt in stuff and these shirts are a good compromise. The biggest thing for me is the the ties on the side work really well to adjust the length... I'm short and most things are way to long for me and look messy. The ties also allow the shirt to be fairly fitted, which I appreciate. The zipper lets you to wear it open (more attractive) or closed (more protection). And the sleeves cover your hands if you want them to, which is important to me Like most items of this type they run small. Though I normally wear a petite small, the (non-petite) medium in this fits me pretty well once adjusted. It would also fit someone quite a bit taller than me - I could almost wear it as a dress if I loosened the ties all the way. A higher neck, like a mock turtle-neck cut, would provide a little more protection when wanted. That's the one improvement I could see making to these.

This shirt looks great on and is the perfect length I’m 5’5” to protect the top of my legs and hands while I boogie board. The zipper has a nice fabric tab over the top so you neck won’t get jabbed. I believe it runs a bit big. I NEVER wear a small in rash guards and the small of this shirt fits me a little loose like a medium in every other brand I have purchased. The looseness is perfect that makes it slimming and totally covers my bit of belly that flops about when I sit or bend over. I give it a 5.

Pros - Unlike pictured, there is NO brand embroidery. Nice! - Sizes fit as expected to wear as a shirt (size down to be tightly fitted more like swimwear) -I think it'll work well for indirect water activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, or jetski. Cons - The white is super transparent, even when dry. I would recommend a darker color instead as material is pretty thin. - The ruching was not flattering on me (as a rectangle or petite apple shape) - I don't think it'll work well for my intended purpose of swimming and snorkeling. Just too much material. I would consider keeping this it were a darker color that wasn't so see through. I sized down to a small so it would be more like swimwear, which fit as intended and not too tight. I would do my typical size of medium to wear as a shirt. I'm 36D. Often a jean size 8. Small worked for a fitted look over a bathing suit.

I am so happy with this purchase (that I even purchased a second one). I go paddle boarding regularly and I wanted to insure that I protect my skin as much as possible! The shirt is light weight, comfortable, and cute! The option to switch it into a dress is cool too! I have a fairly long torso and the small was still long enough to cover my butt when wearing it as a dress! Lastly, the thumb holes are great to have on the sleeves! If your paddle boarding, canoeing, or kayaking, it may prevent any rubbing from you paddle/oar!

This piece is a dream come true, actually better than I imagined it could be. The fit is beautiful, material is stretchy and soft and the cut is super comfortable. The stitching, drawstrings and zipper quality are amazing. I LOVE how it looks cinched tight OR pulled down. Just get it, you'll love it! It's hilarious how much time I spent agonizing over which top to get. I hate sunblock and I'm pretty shy and modest so I like to wear this as a cover-up over my normal bathing suit so I don't burn. Ive worn it on super sunny days a few times and the fabric DOES prevent sunburns. I pair it with a wide brim, crushable sun hat for maximum protection. Zip it up for full protection. Unzip it when I want to look more fashionable or when I'm in the shade. I love this rash guard!!!

If you oscillate between an xs and small US size get xs or small in this. I purchased medium based on reviews - people saying that they are 120 pounds and a small was too small for them. My daughter is 118-120 and she’s tall and lanky. This medium swim shirt looks like a dress tent on her.

This is a BEAUTIFUL swimtop. I absolutely love it! It fits great. The color is wonderful! It does NOT ride up at all. It clings to the skin when wet. I just ordered another one.
