Coway Airmega 240 True HEPA Air Purifier with Air Quality Monitoring, Auto, and Filter Indicator, Warm Gray

We have been using this air filter for about 2 weeks now and so far it has been working well! We have three cats and live in about an 1,000 sq ft apartment and we placed it in between the living room/kitchen and the office where the cat litter box is. Two of my cats have been suffering with an asthmatic cough from something, maybe new litter or just seasonal stuff. They got off their meds around the time we started using the airfilter so I cant say for sure if the air filter or the meds was the primary driver in fixing the issue, but they are no longer coughing and have not started back up again. We switched to a wood based litter that while claims is dust free, does have an entirely different dust than normal clay litter that is super fine and gets everywhere. I think the filter is helping with this, but I think it would help more if we moved it closer to the litter box. The sensor is pretty sensitive, we have it on the smart setting, and it picks up the speed whenever we are cooking (it is not near the kitchen so im not worried about it sucking in grease or anything). The highest speed can be a little loud, the middle speed is no louder than a normal plug in fan, and the lowest setting is virtually silent. I work from home and sit a few feet from the air filter and I often forget its there. If you want this for your sleeping area I think it would be fine. It mostly sits at the lowest setting - at least for me, I live in northern rural virginia so the air quality is good here. I am glad I got this particular air filter because of the pre filter, having three cats and being able to prevent too much cat hair from getting into the actual filter that I cannot clean was important to me. The pre filter is easy to clean with the small handheld vacuum. I am going to try and remember to update this in a few months with any additional comments.

I've been using it for a month and like the product. It does the job well and is also modern-looking as well. Compared to the Air Mega, it has less sound in low mode but stronger airflow. But I like the white noise sound of the Air Mega better in a higher setting—overall good product.

This air purifier is excellent in every way--quiet, effective, efficient, and not bad looking! It has produced a notable improvement in air quality in our house.

Energy efficient is a must these days -- This unit works really well and has pleasant esthetics - long life and super protective filter - sturdy and simple to use - I wish it had handles to move it around! 4 1/2 stars PS because it's been hot I turn it on its side so to get the fan blowing my way and use it as a fan

Coway's Airmega 240 is ready to go out of the box. It's made from matte finished plastics that are more utilitarian than sleek, but the fun design on the grille gives the Coway a stylish flair. It feels robust and well made. It's very easy to use via the touch sensitive buttons on top. The automatic mode works nicely and adjusts as room conditions change. On the lowest speed it is barely perceptible. On medium, you can hear it a bit, but don't have to raise the TV or speak over it. On the highest speed it definitely makes decent noise, but you should not have to have it on high for long. We have the Coway in our 11' x 14' bedroom. The room has hardwood floors. I find that it keeps the air in the room smelling clean and fresh and also keeps our allergies from acting up much. The air intake is on the front while the exhaust is on the top, so we are able to push the Coway right up against the wall and out of the way. I love that you can completely turn off all of the LED lights for using it while sleeping. The filters are very simple to clean and / or replace when needed. All in all... a great air purifier.

Does a great job. Easy to maintain and very quiet. Has made a noticeable difference to the air quality in my house. A lot lees dust and pet hair around.

My husband smokes in the garage when it's cold. I hate the smell, don't want it getting into the walls and anything we store in the garage. I plugged it in last night after he had been smoking for a few hours. It ran for about 3 hours total, walked in this morning and no smell at all! Works great!!

I've personally owned Levoit, Coway, and IQAir air filters and I have to say, this is my new favorite. The sound levels are reasonable, it uses True HEPA filters without any ionizing or Ozone technology, and has a very high CADR (Clear Air Delivery Rate). Also on high speed it causes air to flow thru the room like an overhead fan which has a nice cooling effect (room size ~250 sq. ft). The mid-century modern aesthetics are a nice touch as well! I did deduct one star due to the sound being slightly higher in pitch vs other air purifiers I've used. It's only noticeable on the highest setting, but worth pointing out.

It works really well over all. I leave it on automatic and it senses when it needs to turn on, sets the fan speed automatically and turns the fan off when the air quality has improved. Looks good too. I've had it about a year and a half now and I recommend it.

Impressive! does a fantastic job of cleaning the air and keeping it clean. Simple to use aesthetically pleasing, quality product. Easy to maintain. Definitely recommend this product.

The air purifier is wonderful. I can truly feel the air quality difference once I turn it on. It is very quiet which I love. Added bonus, when the weather is hot, it helps cool the air in my house.

The unit is very sensitive to dust, dander and even cooking smells, and cleans quickly. However, the replacement filters are expensive. In Canada, they are only available through Amazon, I believe. Luckily, they are needed only once a year. Beautiful modern design makes it attractive in the house.
