Netgear 5G antenna had defective TS-9 connectors. I didn't have time to play the Netgear game to get new ones so took a chance and ordered these TS-9 connectors, which were the only ones stating they were for 5G antenna. All the normal, quick shipping, great packaging, looks good, etc. applies. Now the important stuff, they screw on to the antenna cables without a problem. They connect to the MR1100, MR5200 (5G), and the ne MR 6550 (5G) and important to me as my setup is in a motorhome which rocks and rolls down the highway, they stay connected. Perfect TS-9 connection. I have the old Netgear antenna as well and I have no way of telling if these connectors are better than any other connector other than I could hook up the new 5G antenna. Speeds did increase considerably between 4G and 5G antennas. With a 4GLTE VZ plan, I am seeing early morning speeds approaching 500Mb, with mid-day speeds over 200Mb in a sleepy little beach town. 5G antenna stuck to window with these connectors added (unscientifically determined) 60 to 80Mb down, and 10Mb up speeds on average. The work well at peak power, low bandwidth sharing times, and I have seen as much as 780Mb down speeds, with 267Mb up speeds. Many factors involved in connecting to cell towers, but these do not seem to be a hinderance.

I used these adapters to improve the 5G cellular signal on my Netgear Nighthawk M6 (MR6150) Mobile Hotspot. This (TS9 Male) adapter connects to the TS9 (Female) connector on the hotspot and presents an SMA female connector (Outer thread, Inner sleeve contact). This enables me to use a variety of antennas while I figure out which 5G frequencies are strongest in my area. Pictured is my setup for measuring 5G signal strength in the 2.5Ghz (n41 band), used by T-Mobile. NOTE: If you are using this adapter to improve 5G cellular reception, it is important to match the antenna(s) you are using to the frequencies that your cellular service provider is using in your area. 1. Research the frequencies used by your cellular service provider. 2. Choose antenna(s) tuned to those frequencies. 3. Connect the antenna(s); analyze the reception from a variety of locations and antenna configurations. Bear in mind that the signal strength of the frequencies used by your cellular provider will vary in different locations and are subject to a variety of external factors. If you are mobile, you will need to re-assess the signal strength every time you change locations.

I have had this for roughly a month and it has not been what I expected. The connection to the antenna screws on and seems tight but does not hold well. I have seen other comments of how the prongs are tight, mine is loose and seems to slip out. I would return or ask for a replacement but I’m at 45 days rather than 30. Not a good product for price point, find an antenna with high quality couplings.
