Good fitting ball valve LOTO device
They do exactly what they were designed to do, make it well known that a valve is locked out. I use a full compliment of LOTO devices and I was short a few for ball valves that I needed to leave behind on the last contract. They fit well and worked exactly as I needed them to. Quality seems to be just fine and they were easy to adjust and get set to fit different sizes of ball valves.

Great for locking my outdoor Whole House water valve
When going away for a few days or more, this simple lock gives the peace of mind that no leaks can occur inside the house while I am away.

Can be removed without unlocking it
Locks in place but can be removed without unlocking so it doesn't do what it is designed to do. Serves as a deterrent if not looked at closely.

Does not work with PVC valves
I found this product searching for a PVC ball valve lockout device, and I couldn't quite tell from the sites pictures how it worked, so thought this might work. Now that I've been able to examine the product, it very specifically is designed to slide over the narrow metal handle of a metalic ball valve lockout device. It's unfortunate, if it had 4 legs which kept it attached to the pipe, this could work for PVC also, but the legs are just triangular, so there's no accommodation for that. I think I'll drill a hole in them and use some wire to hold them in place so I don't have to deal with sending the product back across the Pacific for a return.

Saves on your water bill
Have a house at the beach with a lever handle. Unfortunately weekly rentals next door started using the water and leaving it running when they were finished! This solved that problem
