What type of ink is required for the printer to work?

It's not the ink...it has no ink... it's the paper. This is an impression printer, and its the paper that makes the image. The paper is formulated like a carbon paper. All you do is to replace the rolls of paper.. which are always available because other testers of this type use that paper.

Approximately how many tests can you print out per roll?

Hello, you can print out around 80 times per roll. TOPDON BT600 battery tester comes with three rolls of printer paper, of which one is installed in the tester and the other two are in the box.
