Just got this for my 7 year old autistic grandson who is obsessed with anything to do with japan, dragon slayers and anime he loves it, considering it was only £25 the quality is pretty impressive! Not some cheap hollow plastic c**p you tend you get for this price, this is a light weight bamboo and better than the cortana sword we got imported from japan O.o to see him standing in front of the mirror acting like he is a ninja is priceless lol

Bought for non contact practice, I already own a couple or mid steel katana for mat cutting and a high quality folded steel katana , I have 2 wooden boken for light contact practice and wanted something safe for non contact training for myself and my grandkids. This was dearer than the usual foan or play swords but I figured plastic in the handle and a bamboo blade would be safe yet sturdy in young hands. When it arrived I let my Grandson open it, ROOKIE MISTAKE ! . He loved how it looked like Grandads swords , The Saya (scabbard) although plastic is solid enough, The handle and tsuba are the same hard plastic, the heandle is wrapped for grip. Then he drew the sword, No sturdy bamboo blade, instead the same hard plastic. Now dont get me wrong , he loves it and it looks right as a black blade Wakasashi ( its 4 " too short for a katana ). but its not what I expected. would I recommend it to anyone else, probably on the understanding its a complete plastic sword ideal for kids practice or as a Wakasasi to go with a similar longer katana for fancy dress. Durability is to be seen. Drawing characteristics are good, far better than some of the pole in a flimsy sheath I have seen. Taking it in public I would suggest a bag, as it looks more real than toy and could cause alarm. as said , at 35 inches ish long this is a wakasasi where as a katana starts at 40 inches. but size is realistic. value for money , I am on the fence as it depends on durability.........update.... the blade is wood, but the paint jod makes it look plastic. the rest of the review stands as is.

Great for the family member who wants and needs a sword but can’t really be trusted with a real one or really can’t afford one this is a good place to start they can’t hurt anyone with it not even themselves and if it gets trashed it’s not going to break the bank! to replace it and it might mean you don’t have to shell out for a real one 🤫🤫😁😈

Very nice, impressive replica. As cool as it is, mine wasn't very durable. It's easy to scratch, and the bamboo blade doesn't lock into the hilt anymore. Definitely good for cosplays and stuff if you want it for that, but not for mucking about with.

A really cool gift for my boyfriend! Awesome quality and great for the price, could definitely be bigger for an adult but for a kid/teen it’s perfect! Probably more of a display piece as far as durability goes, but it’s not particularly fragile either

My son is extremely happy with this sword. Casing is made of plastic and seems quite durable. The sword is wood. All as description.

Dopo aver acquistato le vesti dell'ammazza demoni, non potevo non acquistare il ferro del mestiere del nostro eroe. Bella riproduzione in legno della katana di Tanjiro ideale per completare il vestito di carnevale. avrei preferito spendere meno acquistando tutto il corredo insieme. (Abito + Katana). Non ho voluto acquistare a parte parrucca ed orecchini esagerati !!!
