Soles Come Unglued!
I bought these for my son for Christmas in December 2015, and he really liked them until he noticed the sole of his left shoe was coming unglued in February of 2016 after wearing the shoes just a couple of months. Now I see the shoes can not be returned as they are passed the window of opportunity. Buyer beware!

Rockport Margin dress shoe
These Rockports are excellently crafted and are true to size, pair them with a set of Superfeet insoles and you have magic. The heel and mid-foot taper of the shoe actually makes it fit exceptionally well with no lateral movement of the foot during the step. They are deep enough to accommodate a set of low or medium thickness insoles with no problem. The color and material are as described in appearance and the sole is tennis shoe soft yet has enough resiliency to keep your feet comfortable ALL day. There does not appear to be any sort of shank in the sole/instep so I highly recommend a set of aftermarket insoles. Typical five eyelet lacing and the laces appear to be braided cotton, very well made and they stay tied with no problems. Padded collar and zero hot spots throughout this shoe. Molded outsole is likely not replaceable via a shoe Cobler but I suppose you could try it, very low depth sipes do not attract mud/dirt. Very well made and comfortable, not sure you could ask for more in a shoe priced this well.

Best shoe there is for daily wear
I have been wearing a pair of Rockport Margins in black and a pair in brown just about every day at work for the last 35 years. The heels are soft, so I get them re-heeled a couple of times before I get a new pair about every three to four years. If vertical, I will likely keel over dead in a pair of Rockport Margins. This is the best work shoe there is for office and field wearing if you don't need a cleated sole. I appreciate the plain sole because it is easy to clean off the mud from work sites. I give these with a couple of Mink Oil treatments every year and polish them ( they are REALLY DEEPLY POLISHED) occasionally. Wear them with dress and casual. A wet rag takes off the mud and a brushing keeps them looking fresh The manager at the Rockport outlet where I now buy them would agree with every thing I said here, and he spends his whole day on his feet - in Rockport Margins.

Awesome all around shoe. Great wear.
i wear these at my office, on visits to airports for site visits which require a lot of walking and to other functions. They are versatile and look great with jeans or a suit. I just replaced my pair after 7 years since the heel is rounding out on outer edge due to my pronation, supination....whatever. As you can see from photos of old and brand new shoe, other then the heel (which is no fault of the shoe) the sole wore very well and evenly. Also, the inside and body of the shoe stayed in great shape. Highly recommended shoe. Not the cheapest shoe but well worth it in the long term.

Good work shoe for the price
I've bought this shoe model about every 3 years or so for the last decade+. As far as I can tell, the design of the shoe is the same as it was 3 years ago, the only difference being that my most recent pair of shoes bought in 2018 were made in Vietnam and my prior pair from 2015 were made in China. They still fit the same and seem to be made of the same materials.Overall, this is a very good work shoe that can pass for dress shoes but are much more comfortable. I'm concerned about recent reviews stating that they break down quickly compared to the Rockport Margin Oxfords of the past. I can usually get about 3 years out of them before they need replacing, so I'll update this review if I experience any problems.

A Comfortable and Casual Dress Shoe at Modest Cost
This is my second pair of the Rockport Margin Oxfords. Increasingly they are hard to find as new styles seem have replaced their sales. The pair that I received was still made in Vietnam, as before, and fit close to the pair that I bought about eight years ago. There is some minor difference in quality, as the interior leather in the back half is now made of other material. Nonetheless, they remain a comfortable dress shoe that has more room up front that typical of such shoes. I think they fit true to size as I bought an 11 medium, same as in my other Rockport shoes. The insole in this pair is thicker than before, but insoles also can be easily replaced. The thicker insole makes for a more comfortable foot pad, but thin to medium orthotics should fit easily as an alternative.

Very nice shoe, don't let my four stars make you think I don't like them.
I like these shoes a lot. It is hard for me to find wide sizes that fit me well and buying shoes on the internet is about the only way I can find shoes that fit me. The hard part is the same shoe size from different vendors fit differently. These fit very well and I am so far very happy with them. So why four stars you say? I have only had them a week, so I am not sure how durable they are. I am hoping to get a few years out of these and am fairly sure I will. If they last that long, these are a definite five star shoe.

My first choice for long days.
I had previously bought the same shoes in brown so I knew they would fit. I'm 71 and feet enlarge with age so I need to be particular about what shoes I wear. As I've aged I discarded several perfectly good shoes solely because they became uncomfortable. These Rockports have a large toe box with I credit for much of the comfort. I've become a fan of rubber soles. For many years I've heeded the advice of shoe salesmen that leather soles were preferred because they kept feet cool. That may have been true before climate controlled living/working spaces, but it's not true today. To me leather soles are often sold on snob appeal.
