It is electric, it is very small so good if you want to save space. You would need to chop foods before putting in and can't run it for a long time as it will overheat. Soft fruits and veggies I think it's OK. Hard ones like celery and carrots it takes more time but does do it. **Q: Reviews appear to be for a different product?** A: YES. Amazon is sending these notices to everyone who has bought any juicer from Elite Gourmet! I bought the inexpensive little citrus juicer and am now getting questions about this Masticating Juicer. **Q: Can you do apple and pineapple in the juicer?** A: Yes, but you have to cut the fruits to fit into the juicer chute. **Q: Does it work with 110v or 220v??** A: Do you have an Automatic voltage or 220v on this product?
