Reliable
Used this smart power strip for the last 4 years, 24 hours a day. It has always done exactly as is was designed to do. It works with the Smart Life mobile app and is programmable. Highly recommended.

EASY TO USE AND ELIMINATES THE NEED TO BUY 4 DIFFERENT SMART PLUGS
This is a power strip surge protector with Wifi by Imillet. (I took some photos of what it looks like when the outlets are turned on with Wifi. Let me know if you find this helpful.)This is my first power strip that I can control with my smart phone. It has 4 usb ports and 4 outlets. It eliminates the need to use 4 different independent smart plugs. It was really easy to pair up with wifi by long pressing the power button until the power button light flashes quickly. I used the recommended app that was listed in the instruction booklet and scanned the qr code with a qr code reading app. I’m not really sure about the app that I used for it because it grants a lot of permissions. I’m going to use another app instead instead. I love that I can control each of the outlets with the touch of a button from my phone. You can set the outlets on a timer to turn on or off at a certain time. For the usbs, you can only turn them all on or all off. This will come in handy during the Christmas season when we have the power strip in places that aren’t really convenient to access.

THINGS TO KNOW...
Bought this during an amazon deal. Nervous about it breaking down or burning out because of the lower reviews.Setting it up was a bit confusing at first, but only took 5 min or a little over.Definitely works with Alexa. Working so far.Box was slightly open when I got it, but it might’ve been shaken around in transit.Only issue is that if you plug in large plugs, it blocks the other sockets...my light & Alexa alone blocks the middle 2 blocks :( I would need a square or single plug if I wanted to use the middle 2.1) Which app to DL for the initial connection:-Instructions say Smart Life (app is blue with a house & a WiFi logo)-They recommended Jinvoo in a Q/AIt honestly doesn’t matter. Format looks the exact same on the app as well as the Alexa skill. It just asks for an email sign up,NO PHONE NUMBER WAS ASKED.I DL’d Smart Life per the instructions.2) Issues connecting:If you run into an issue connecting, hold the power button for 5 seconds. Release. Let it blink. Try again. It took me maybe 2 tries. Make sure you enter your WiFi PW because it somehow bypasses that & lets you move forward even if you haven’t entered it.3) Connecting to Alexa:Enable the skill that’s named the exact same as the app you chose to DL. Sign in. Go connect the plug.Once it connects, you can delete the Smart Life or Jinvoo app. Don’t need it anymore after the initial connection from #1 since it’s on your Alexa app now.4)-Light should NOT constantly blink after initial set up!!-Strip should NOT turn off when the WiFi goes off!!-Should NOT buzz at all!!5) DON’T MESS WITH THE POWER BUTTON!Says do right in the FAQ (that you might not read) to not press it on & off for more than 10 sec. You’ll have to reconnect all over again because that’s how you reset it.Control the plug from the Alexa app or just the Echo itself.

A keeper....
This was my 2nd purchase of this item. The first worked so well that we wanted a second unit for another room. This has to be set up with a separate app (Smart Life), but it is a simple process. We're "over 60," and setting it up was very simple for us...took less than 5 minutes. The directions indicate allowing Smart Life to access Amazon--but I chose to do it in reverse...by allowing Amazon to access Smart Life. It integrated well with Amazon/Alexa--and now we can audibly control the unit. (Or we can control each via the Smart Life app...or the Alexa app.) Each receptacle on the unit can be independently controlled....with a separate control for the USB. The user can also change the name of each switch. For example, I renamed one of my switches (receptacles) from "Switch 1" to "Bedside lamp." This unit is priced well, is easy to set up, and functions well. Very satisfied....

Barely better than junk.
I spent several hours trying to get this to connect. Even though my home network has both 5GHz and 2.4GHz radios, my phone will only connect to the 5GHz band when given the choice, so I had to disrupt my six roommates' wifi to turn *off* the 5GHz band. And then, when I had done that, it *still didn't work*. The app would sit there for two minutes, counting... Percentage points? And then it would declare that something (no indication of what) had failed. I triple checked that the network was working, and tried both the "normal mode" and "AP mode" workflows, with the same result.Add to this the generally skeevy practice of requiring you to register your personal device and phone number with some sketchy company, and it starts to feel like a scam.I recommend not buying this.

Was great, now problems
This was exactly what i needed to put my garden lights on a timer schedule. It was easy enough to setup and make the schedule. However, recently it will shut off after about 5 minutes. I can power it back on by either pushing the main power button or each socket through the app. i already factory reset it, set it all back up again and was hopeful this would do the trick. It did not. The USB port works the same as as it is scheduled. Not sure what the life span is supposed to be on these but i have had other ones longer.

Love it!
Absolute lifechanger. I used this to save me the trouble of hard wiring a physical switch in a retropie arcade cabinet that I built. The individual control over each outlet lets me group together and control different aspects of the cabinet (LEDs, raspberry pi, screen, audio amp) by using Alexa or Google Home. Confusing and outdated instructions but setup was pretty straightforward in the app using auto search. Lightweight. Wish I could control each USB port individually but that’s a small complaint. Would also be nice to have mounting holes in the back to hang it on screws but it’s lightweight enough that I was able to use 3M adhesive squares. Will definitely be considering more of these for future projects.
