Worth the money

We are very pleased with this mattress. It is so quiet that mom has had no problem sleeping with it on. More importantly, no new bedsores have appeared since she began using it which is so important for someone with delicate skin prone to breakdown that sits a lot in a wheelchair during the day. We also purchased one of these mattresses for my sister so mom can have consistent care when she stays there. Also, I got a message asking me if this mattress was working for us and offering help with any problems or questions. That impressed me as the sign of a quality company.I would recommend this mattress to anyone trying to give a loved one a quality place to sleep.

This item quit working within one day. My husband is bedbound so I had to have special help to move him off his old mattress and on to this mattress after it was inflated. I called service and found out they only give advice to check for leaks. Of course I couldn't move my husband off, so pretty soon he was lying on the the metal of his bed. I only had his lady care giver, so at two oclock in the morning we unlocked his bed and moved it as close as we could and dragged and maneuvered him to my bed. He was practically sideways. .we removed the deflated air bed. put his old mattress on the bed, fortunately it is a hospital bed so I could lower it lower than mine, and dragged him across the space between the beds. His care giver, myself, and especially my husband were completely exausted and beat up. what a mess.

We were recommended this mattress by another patient's family. It's been 100% effective for preventing pressure sores. Easy to use. The mattress is full of individual inflatable cells, which much like pool inflatables, make a squeaking noise when they inflate and rub together. This is constantly happening and I need to search to find a lubricant which will last long term and not deteriorate the mattress. If there was a fix or at least guidance on what to use that'd make this a 5 star item.

Easy to install! The next day it went flat. Called customer service for bed. Service dept was not in. The would call Last Monday. They never did! That’s service for you. I knew something was up when she ask me where I purchased it. I said Amazon she said “Oh”. My daughter and I tore it completely apart and she finally fixed it after a day. Service is bad. I really wanted to like this mattress. I am a C6 - C7 quadriplegic. I have been using a low air loss mattress for several years now and my previous mattress finally died. I found this mattress on Amazon and thought it might be too good to be true. I was amazed at how quickly arrived. It was well shipped, well packed, and surprisingly easy to install. I did find that the mattress is a little smaller than the typical medical bed. This did pose a problem and that now there is a gap between the mattress and the security rail. If I’m not careful, my legs fall in between the rail and the mattress. The motor, hoses, and mattress went together smoothly and easily. The motor is super quiet and airs up the mattress very quickly. The display is a little bright at night, but nothing some masking tape didn’t cure. My biggest problem with this mattress is the material they used for the mattress cover. It is a rubber material that does not allow the body to slide or breathe well on. The whole reason I need a low air loss mattress is for pressure sore prevention and relief. Sticking to the mattress cover makes movement very difficult. The second issue is that the mattress cover is very loose. It’s not tight on the air cells so transferring and moving becomes greatly difficult because the mattress cover sticks to your skin and moves as you move. I wish Vive would create a different style top cover that was more like breathable nylon and that was a little tighter on the mattress. When I sleep on the mattress, I am sweating very quickly. And stuck in the position I am laying. When the mattress cover gets bunched up under me, it is difficult to straighten out. Adjusting the air pressure is a little tricky until you get the hang of it. I will say again that the motor is very responsive and very quiet. A definite plus over the previous unit I had. In closing, if you transfer onto this mattress from a wheelchair, you must have a sliding sheet available to get onto the bed safely.

This mattress is ok, does help with pressure points, bed soreness. But the mattress itself is very cold, had to put thick blanket then sheets, after staying in the room for a whole night, it is not quiet!! I then understood what my mom in law was saying, the noise of the pump was keeping her awake, tried putting a 'cushion' to maybe help stop the vibrations, still noisy as it pumped up the tubes .... she said the mattress was comfortable but the pump kept her awake..

That it works and safe my mother's life

Hi, we've had the mattress and pump since August 2023(2/3 months) and the pump will not switch on. Has anyone else had this happen and is there a way to get it started or do I need to return it and hope for some satisfaction?

After a week or so the pump unit became so noisy that my workshop compressor was quieter. Only the dead could sleep with this running

Unfortunately the static mode is temporary !

There is NO product support for this item in the UK, if it goes Faulty ( the compressor stopped working after 3 Months ) Amazon won`t take the faulty unit back. Tried to get Vive Health to repair the unit, but they are based in the USA and have No Warehouse in the UK to replace / repair, although they were very helpful
